However, the lightstick model of the singer from Ben Tre was pointed out to have many similarities with the light stick that Taeyang ( BIGBANG) had just released not long ago.

Because Taeyang's version also has a yellow color, designed with the sun symbol. Jack not only copied the color, black body design, yellow lights but also the lightstick sales poster was almost copied from BIGBANG member.

Putting aside the plagiarism issue, Jack selling lightsticks for 997 thousand VND/piece immediately caused controversy on forums and social networks. Many people think that the price to buy a lightstick is too high. Moreover, the majority of the male singer's fans are students with unstable incomes. Therefore, with such an "astronomical" price, it is very difficult to sell a large quantity.

But on the contrary, many people think that 997 thousand VND is a common number for artist-related items, especially lightsticks. The lightsticks of today's top Kpop groups such as: BLACKPINK, BTS, SEVENTEEN, aespa,... all have listed prices ranging from 800 thousand to 1.5 million VND. Not to mention, Kpop stars also release many versions, causing prices to increase.

In Vietnam, Son Tung's lightstick costs 1.1 million VND, Hoang Thuy Linh's is 799 thousand. Therefore, the price of Jack's lightstick is not too different from the majority. What makes the singer from Ben Tre controversial is his rock-bottom reputation.

After the love scandal, Jack's image became irreparable in the eyes of fans. Next, the male singer lost even more points when he used Messi's image in his MV and got into a plagiarism scandal.

On social media, Jack and the Dom Dom fandom were also turned into "memes" by netizens with many humorous, mostly satirical contents. Therefore, when he released a lightstick with signs of plagiarism, it made the Kpop fan community even more upset.
