"When I first started singing, my family provided for and supported me. However, because I didn't want to depend on my family forever, I decided to find my own path. From then on, I accepted to perform anywhere, no matter how low the pay was," the male singer said.

Talking about the hard days of running shows across the provinces, Ho Viet Trung said that at that time there were sleeper buses, but he didn't have enough money to buy tickets, so he had to take "crammed" buses.

"I take a motorbike taxi from my house to the Eastern bus station, then take a bus to Buon Ma Thuot. If I perform in a commune or district, I have to take another bus to get to the performance venue. The bus is crowded with passengers, some even bring chickens and ducks.

I sat huddled, hugging my backpack for fear of being pickpocketed, and didn't dare sleep. Sitting on the bus, no one recognized me as a singer, so I wasn't afraid. Besides, at that time I didn't have any name," Ho Viet Trung recalled.

Despite many hardships and challenges, singer Ho Viet Trung still puts a lot of heart and soul into pursuing his passion for music. He is considered to have a close, genuine musical style, suitable for many audiences.
