Henry Lau, real name Liu Xian Hua, born October 11, 1989, commonly known by his stage name Henry, is a Chinese-Canadian singer and songwriter. He is a former member of Super Junior-M - a subgroup specializing in Mandarin singing and operating in the Chinese market, under the group Super Junior.
Henry Lau was born and raised in Willowdale, Toronto, one of the wealthiest areas of Toronto, Ontario. His father is from Hong Kong and his mother is from Pingtung, Taiwan. In 2010, during Super Junior-M's hiatus due to the departure of a member, Henry received a full scholarship to Berklee College of Music. There, he spent 6 months studying music production. In the same year, Henry Lau composed the song "All My Heart" for Super Junior's 4th album "Bonamana" repackage version with Leeteuk. In Super Show 2, he also composed and participated in producing the song "Sick Of Love" in English, which was never officially recorded.
In September 2011, Henry participated in composing another song called "Andante" for Super Junior's 5th album Mr. Simple repackage version with Leeteuk. He then participated in rapping for BoA's song "One Dream" with SHINee's Key.
On June 7, 2013, Henry debuted as SM Entertainment's first solo artist in 13 years and released the mini album "Trap". His fans are called "String". He is also a member of the music production team Noizebank, which consists of four members: Henry Lau, Gen Neo, Neil Nallas, and Isaac Han.
