Hang Du Muc and Quyen Leo Daily are two Tiktoker names that have recently been making waves in the livestreaming wave on the social network Tiktok. Both have something in common: they both started from zero, then broke through to become million-dollar tiktokers.
Hang Du Muc, real name Nguyen Thi Thai Hang, is currently one of the prominent TikTokers in Vietnam thanks to her livestream sessions selling agricultural products that attract great attention from the community.
With the achievement of selling more than 20 tons of durian in the livestream session on July 7, Hang has been dubbed the "goddess" of Vietnamese agricultural products and such events have made the name of the female TikToker from Ca Mau more widely known.
Behind that success, Hang Du Muc said she had to face many challenges, from finding sources of goods to preparing for livestream sessions, according to the female TikToker's sharing on the series Key Career.
Talking about the durian livestream, she said that she initially planned to sell Ca Mau crabs at a reasonable price. However, due to the nature of this product - crabs easily shrink after three days, she was forced to switch to other products to ensure quality for customers.
Finally, she chose durian and decided to go to the garden in Dak Lak to check the quality of each tree, in order to find the best source. However, this choice was not smooth when she discovered that not all durian gardens met the standards for selling on TikTok Shop.
According to the female TikToker, many farmers still grow and sell in the traditional way and are not familiar with doing business through e-commerce channels. Therefore, Hang Du Muc has to personally go to each durian garden to select products.
Hang shared that livestreaming is not just a job but also a continuous creative process. When she first started livestreaming, she said she had to go through many broadcasts with no viewers.
After that, Hang realized that she was lacking creativity and came up with the idea of changing the livestream setting. From the mountain ranges to the snow-covered land of Xinjiang (China), Hang continuously changed to create newness for her livestream session and gradually built her own success in the livestream sales field.
Also a name that has made many marks in the livestream industry, Quyen Leo Daily started his livestream career from zero.
Quyen shared that before starting to build the TikTok channel, he had worked many jobs, from waiting tables to specialized work as a construction contractor. In addition, Quyen Leo Daily and his wife also do business in the real estate sector.
After a video of his daughter garnered more than 1.5 million views, Quyen Leo Daily's family began to attract viewers with content about family. From there, Quyen and his wife's journey to build a million-view TikTok channel began.
At the family's apartment in Hanoi, surrounded by piles of goods, Quyen and his wife organized the first livestream sales session at the invitation of TikTok Shop.
"In the first live session, my family set a revenue target of 200 - 300 million VND, but that session earned 4.6 billion VND," Quyen shared. After the first successful session, this TikToker couple continued to reap livestream sessions with increasing revenue, from 7 billion to 15 billion VND.
"After the 15 billion VND session, I encountered a media crisis and everything almost went downhill, there weren't as many viewers as before, sales also dropped," Quyen said. He said that he and his wife had to work harder, livestreaming every night to test and understand customer needs.
In early May, Quyen Leo Daily and many other TikTokers set an unprecedented record with a livestream session that reached a revenue of 100 billion VND. The sale had a total of more than 100 items from many industries such as household appliances, electronics, cosmetics, food...
This male TikToker said that the brands committed to the prices on the live session being exclusive and the cheapest on all platforms. In addition, TikTok Shop also sponsored 1 million USD in vouchers, along with free shipping for all orders during the session.
