Duy Manh represented the Vietnamese national team to return the favor after winning the championship, worthy of being the captain.

After winning the 2024 ASEAN Cup with the Vietnamese team, Captain Do Duy Manh returned home and immediately went to the temple to report his achievements. His thoughtful images at the temples made fans feel touched and appreciate his respect and courtesy.

On January 7, two days after winning the ASEAN Cup 2024 championship with the Vietnamese team in Thailand, Duy Manh, coach Kim Sang-sik and VFF leaders went to Phu Tho to offer incense, report their achievements and thank the Hung Kings. Before leaving for Korea to train for the ASEAN Cup 2024, the Vietnamese team visited the Hung Temple relic site to pray for luck and success in the competition.

On January 8, Duy Manh, his parents and siblings went to the Ha Vi communal house in Lien Ha commune, Dong Anh district, Hanoi to pay their respects. At the second leg of the 2024 ASEAN Cup final, Duy Manh was cheered on by his mother and sister in Thailand. His family also organized a viewing party at the communal house, inviting people to come and cheer for the team.

Also on January 8, Duy Manh went to worship at Dien Kinh Thien, the relic site of Thang Long Imperial Citadel. At the ASEAN Cup 2024, Duy Manh was not often named in the starting lineup but was put on the field in the second half. He received many compliments for promoting his leadership qualities and uniting his teammates.

With his outstanding contribution, Duy Manh was awarded the Third Class Labor Medal when the Vietnamese team returned home on January 6. The Hanoi FC midfielder also visited striker Nguyen Xuan Son at the hospital after his leg fracture surgery. He wished his teammates a speedy recovery and a return to competition.

On the afternoon of January 9, Duy Manh returned to training with Hanoi FC to prepare for the next stage of the National Cup and V-League. Before the training session, the capital team held a ceremony to honor and welcome the ASEAN Cup champions back. It can be seen that immediately after returning home, Duy Manh not only focused on celebrating the victory, but he also continuously had activities throughout, then quickly returned to training.

Not only was he praised after returning home, during the ASEAN Cup, Duy Manh was trusted by his teammates and elected as the captain of the Vietnamese team. Throughout the tournament, the 28-year-old central defender repeatedly made everyone praise him for his professional skills and behavior.

One can mention the image of him explaining to the referee after Xuan Son's goal was not recognized in the first leg of the semi-final against Singapore, while also preventing his teammates from arguing to avoid getting a yellow card. At the same time, Duy Manh also spoke up many times to protect Dinh Trieu and Filip Nguyen when the two goalkeepers' starting position became a controversial topic.

In the second leg of the final in Thailand, Duy Manh reacted strongly to the unfair goal scored by Supachok, Suphanat's brother: "You play in Japan but you play such an unfair goal, I feel very disappointed in you!"

Hearing Duy Manh's words, Supachok also felt ashamed. Duy Manh said: "Supachok said he didn't know if the other team was really in pain or pretending.
