Doan Quoc Dam speaks out about fake milk promotion as 'misunderstanding', suspected of blaming acting according to script

Doan Quoc Dam has spoken out after many days of being "called out" for appearing in a video advertising Cilonmum milk by Rance Pharma International Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company - one of the units that has just been prosecuted and investigated in relation to the production line of more than 500 types of fake milk.

In the article, Doan Quoc Dam apologized to consumers who were hurt and affected by accidentally watching the advertisement video featuring him. "It was unintentional, but as the person appearing in the video, I understand my responsibility in providing transparency in this matter," Doan Quoc Dam wrote.

The actor said the promotional video was recorded 2 years ago, inspired by Thanh's role in the movie My Family Suddenly Happy (airing in 2023).

"The woman mentioned as Ha is the wife of the character I play and the bo.y is the chil.d actor playing my son in the film - not my biological son. All relationships in the video are fictional to serve the advertising script. At that time, the company built the advertising idea inspired by the positive effects of the film," he explained. The actor added that he always has a clear principle of not using personal images to put in advertisements to make mone.y. According to the signed contract, the term of use of his image is only 1 month.

However, the video continued to appear online after that time without his permission, which is a breach of contract. According to Doan Quoc Dam, before accepting to participate in the advertisement, he was provided with full legal documents from the brand including: Product quality inspection certificate, product declaration and advertisement certificate issued by competent authorities.

The actor born in 1988 added that in the promotional video, he did not use any words to encourage or call on people to buy and use the product. If such content had been in the script, he would have refused from the beginning.

Previously, in a promotional video for the Cilonmum Colos IQ Grow 24h milk brand for children aged 1-15 by Rance Pharma, actor Doan Quoc Dam shared that he and his wife "researched very carefully" before giving it to their chil.d.
