Miss Earth Vietnam 2023 - Do Thi Lan Anh is a beauty who caused a storm among beauty fans last year, when she had impressive achievements for Vietnam. Crowned domestically and internationally, winning the title of runner-up, Lan Anh seems to have won the hearts of most audiences.

Do Thi Lan Anh was born in 1997 in Ho Chi Minh City. When she was just 1 year old, the beauty moved with her family to Poland and then moved to the US when she was 6 years old. She graduated with a degree in business administration from California State University - Fullerton (USA). The queen speaks 4 languages: Vietnamese, English, Spanish, Korean; has a knack for contemporary dance and drama. The beauty started a cosmetics company at the age of 24 but stopped her business when she planned to return to Vietnam to live. In October 2023, Lan Anh was crowned Miss Earth Vietnam 2023, impressing with her attractive, toned, hot figure with a height of 1.71m and body measurements: 85-60-95 cm., sharp thinking and fluent English.

Changing her life after becoming a beauty queen, Lan Anh once said: "My life after becoming Miss Lan Anh compared to Lan Anh before has many new things and many changes. Do Thi Lan Anh revealed her childhood dream of becoming a pilot. She partly fulfilled her dream when a friend taught her how to fly a plane and had the opportunity to sit in the cockpit while studying in the US. Lan Anh worked as a co-pilot on a small plane that could accommodate 3 to 4 people and flew over the California coast.

When asked about the super power she wanted to possess, the beauty queen born in 1997 chose the ability to read minds. Lan Anh believes that deeply understanding other people's thoughts will help her have the ability to empathize and broaden her perspective on the world. Having lived in Europe, America and Vietnam, the beauty believes that having a multicultural background gives her experience, the ability to connect and understand problems that may arise in the world. This helped her broaden her horizons, improve her communication skills and become more open-minded.

Even though she had never lived in Vietnam for more than a year, Lan Anh did not experience culture shock when she returned home to compete in beauty contests because her family always preserved her home culture and communicated in Vietnamese. The 26-year-old beauty queen is confident in her ability to cook traditional dishes during holidays and Tet, especially Vietnamese chicken dishes. However, Lan Anh admitted that not growing up in Vietnam made her feel a bit lonely and "backward" as she did not understand the slang words of the country's youth.

Lan Anh claims to be an "outsider" at Miss Earth Vietnam 2023 because of difficulties in communicating and presenting in Vietnamese in front of the audience. However, the support from other contestants helped her regain confidence and better understand her country's culture. The beauty is still trying to better understand her homeland, affirming that Vietnam is a beautiful country with friendly people.

Since childhood, Lan Anh liked to wear dresses and skirts, performed in front of her parents at a "mini fashion show" at home, and regularly participated in fashion activities while still at school. Although she loves standing on stage, her biggest motivation to participate in Miss Earth Vietnam 2023 is the opportunity to connect with the young generation and spread the message of environmental protection.

According to Lan Anh, small actions such as recycling plastic bottles, old clothes, planting small trees at home, using public transportation more... will help minimize negative impacts on the environment. The new Miss Earth Vietnam believes that every small action from each individual can create a big change.

Having faced stereotypes about a beauty queen, Lan Anh affirmed that the ability to connect, empathize, and inspire are important factors, not just external beauty and performance ability. She is proud of the beauty of Vietnamese women, believing that the audience is also changing their concept of beauty.

As a beauty queen, Lan Anh wishes to maintain and spread the lasting culture of her homeland, as well as prove the strength and sincerity of women. This is evident in her passion for independently taking care of her family - a value she was inspired by from her mother.

Miss Earth Vietnam 2023 also affirmed that she will always be an honest version of herself. "Maintaining a beautiful image but not yourself in public is very tiring. Any action that comes from yourself will more easily touch the audience's hearts," she shared. Living honestly with yourself also helps Lan Anh inspire the younger generation, so they can also live true to their values.
