In the beginning, I only went to small tea houses in the US and sang with passion, not thinking I was qualified to follow a professional path. After a while, with the recommendation of some acquaintances, I had the opportunity to step out on bigger stages, start working and going to shows in many other states.

At the age of 24 or 25, the beautiful aura from the showbiz environment attracted me just as much as other young people. However, because I still had to ensure my studies at that time, I partly had a balance between reality and glamour. After four years of singing overseas, I know exactly what the trade-offs are behind that aura. I didn't feel like I had that qualification so I stopped. I think art should be fundamentally clean and come from passion."
