According to a royal expert, Sean 'Diddy' Combs has 'stopped inviting' Prince William and Prince Harry to his infamous parties after the brothers began to settle down.
The author of The King: The Life of King Charles III Christopher Andersen made this statement after a 2011 interview was republished, in which the troubled music mogul Diddy talked about wanting the two princes to attend his lavish parties.
"Diddy invited both William and Harry when the brothers were young men. Obviously, when they were young, both princes attracted attention with parties at nightclubs in London and around," journalist Christopher Andersen told Fox News Digital on October 2.
"Diddy deliberately invited them to the party. But those invitations were wisely declined. After William and Kate Middleton got engaged in 2010, Diddy understood what he meant, so he stopped inviting them altogether," Andersen continued.
Both William (42 years old) and Harry (40 years old) go to nightclubs regularly. Royal biographer Andersen said: "At that time they could easily say yes and attend one of Diddy's wild parties." However, according to Andersen, "thanks to the palace managers, they avoided trouble."
Diddy, 54, confirmed during a 2011 appearance on The Graham Norton Show that invitations had been sent to "young guys". However, Graham Norton noted and pointed out that William was going to marry Kate Middleton later that year.
"Don't ruin our royal wedding," the TV host jokingly begged, prompting Diddy to reassure that the princes were no longer invited. "Trust me, they're not on the list," Diddy confirmed.
Diddy met the two princes for the first time while performing at a charity concert in memory of their late mother, Princess Diana, in 2007.
Rapper Diddy is famous for his lavish parties that attract a series of big names. Parties have been closely monitored since he was arrested last month, accused of conspiracy to extort, 'obscene' trafficking and transporting people to engage in 'promiscuous' activities.
A raid on Diddy's home in March 2024 discovered 1,000 bottles of baby oil as an applicative allegedly used at the rapper's 'collective' parties.
Diddy denies any wrongdoing and is being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York. Diddy currently faces a series of civil lawsuits. Texas attorney Tony Buzbee said in a news conference that he is representing 120 individuals in alleged cases that span decades.
Before being arrested, Diddy himself had predicted that the male rapper's parties would attract attention. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight in 1999, Diddy said, "They can catch me, do all sorts of crazy things just because we want to have a good time."
Diddy also joked about keeping women out of his party in an episode of Late Night With Conan O'Brien in 2002. When asked how to organize a "quality" party, the rapper replied: "Women. Beautiful women, of course. And also beautiful men for girls."
Previously, many famous stars also spoke up when asked about Diddy's parties.
Actor Ashton Kutcher when asked about attending Diddy's parties in a 2019 interview, Kutcher replied, "I have a lot of things I can't say." He described his relationship with Diddy as "very strange".
Meanwhile, rapper Ice Cube was harsh when asked about this issue. Ice Cube insists that he has nothing to do with Diddy: "W.C. and I have never been to Diddy's parties."
In an episode of 2014's Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Khloé Kardashian of the scandalous family "Kardashian - Jenner" described a Diddy party: "I think half of the people are wearing nothing."
