In 2022, Cuong Seven decided to devote full time to the music field he pursued. After releasing the song Oscar in collaboration with producer Jimi, he chose a new direction in his music, opening with Love is blind .

Love is blind mix by producer Jimi and Bill Huynh (The Phuong). The song has a vibrant yet mysterious nuance, combined with Cuong Seven's way of singing to create easy-to-listen melodies and make listeners dance from the first time they touch their ears.

Sharing about the project, Cuong Seven said : "In the near future, I decided to make House music my main music, more performance-oriented. Over time, I want to have a separate path. in music.

I observe that in Vietnam, there are not too many people pursuing and launching House music products, mostly remixes to perform in bar and club environments. This is to my advantage on this path and I will focus all my energy on "burning" with it.

Looking back at the first time singing, Cuong Seven shared: "When I first switched from dancer to singer, I didn't have much experience in performing as a singer. At that time, I still had the shadow of me. As a dancer, the performance is too dance-oriented, affecting breathing and vocals.

So many people think that I should only be a dancer, not to sing. This is my shortcoming. But also thanks to those comments helped me to rethink and change. I am a person who is very receptive to opinions and knows myself. As for the advantage, I will try to promote and train. As for defects, I will try to change."

Cuong Seven's words are proven by his actions. During the past 10 years, he has consistently practiced vocals, never interrupting or neglecting his studies. Not only did he learn vocals from the academy's famous instructors, he also interacted with and learned from young people to gain more experience.

"After that time, I was determined to change. I signed up for vocal lessons immediately. It's been 10 years now. I study every day, every week, every month, whenever I have free time, I go to school, never before. interrupt or give up. Initially, I learned the most basic things from the academy. The foundation must be strong to be able to develop in the long term. In Hanoi, I followed Ms. Mai Huong.

After moving from the North to the South, I continued to study with Ms. Hoang Thu, the mother of singer Hoang Ton. After that, I studied with singer Nhat Hanh to practice the air column as well as many other techniques. Most recently, I also studied with Mr. Dinh Tuan Hung (Microwave) how to handle the raucous style of rock. I want my voice color to be a bit more exposed, more experienced," Cuong Seven said.

Although starting from a dancer, but the singer is the direction that Cuong Seven pursues : "In the past, I brought a lot of choreography into my performance. But slowly I realized, choreography was only a part small on stage. I'm more interested in vocals and stage mastery."

He wants to be seen by the audience as a singer, not a dancer. To achieve that, what did Cuong Seven do? He spent 10 years persistently studying vocals. Every product released to the audience, he hesitated and edited many times until it took shape. Not only that, despite the prospect in the film industry, Cuong still chose to put it aside to focus on music.

"This year, I don't accept films, just want to focus on my musical products. Cinema is a hobby, I will accept any role if I find it predestined, but not oriented towards the path of an actor. what I'm after. I know I'm not born with a musical talent, but I'll still try to conquer it every day," the male singer said.

In recent years, Gen Z has appeared and gradually occupied the music market with multi-talented and versatile young people. Standing in front of such a dynamic and talented generation, Cuong still remains undeterred: "I have to admit that Gen Z guys are now too good to be able to compose and produce their own music. But I am who knows what their strengths and weaknesses are.For me, quality is better than quantity.

I don't want to put too many things on my body, each of which is just an appearance, but I can't go into it. What I am good at, I continue to promote, what I am not good at, find a good partner to fill in. I will choose the best people in their field to do it for me. That way, we will deliver the best quality product to the audience. Gen Z is good the way they are, I will make an impression my way."

Cuong Seven also revealed more about the big projects he has cherished for 2022 : "After the MV Love is blind, I want to organize my own minishow. I set a deadline for myself at the end of May.

I've done a lot of acting, but not to talk about a show with a personal mark. This time, I want to try that. After the minishow, I also plan to release a first full album and specific information will be announced soon."
