Chau Tuan: Moving to the US to settle down to marry with the same sex, the boyfriend welcomed his biological mother to live with him

Accordingly, at the program, Chau Tuan shared: "We have lived together for a long time. Our wedding from 2016. I fell in love with Hoang (John Pham's Vietnamese name) when I went to Los Angeles to play with friends and came home at 2 or 3 a.m. At that time, I was drunk and could not return, my friend asked Prince Cali to drive in the night all the way to Los Angeles just to drive me back, even though I didn't know anything.

On the way back, we talked and Hoang said that there were no friends on this side, few friends.

We empathized from the first time we met. When I first got to know John, I chose him right away because I knew the orphan situation, naturally I felt sorry for this person in my heart and wanted to make it up to him later. John from childhood had no parents, was carried by many people. Despite his childhood lack of affection, he did not live coldly, on the contrary, he knew how to take care of those who were indebted to him.

John stayed in Vietnam as a child and followed his adoptive grandmother to the United States. When she died, they each took care of John "one piece" so his loved ones spread across the United States. John was good, loved even though he wasn't of the same blood. I felt it so I loved him sincerely.

At the same time, I was well known throughout the Vietnamese community in California, but John didn't know it. Their relationship goes up with genuine affection, not dominated by glamour."

From sympathy and understanding, the two gradually become a strong bond. The singer said that at the time of the wedding, it was pouring rain for 3 days and 3 nights, but on the day of the wedding, it did not rain. He thinks that this is a charming arrangement, thanks to which many artists and friends come to bless both of them.

Sharing about his married life, singer Chau Tuan said: "In the process of living together, we did not argue loudly or break up because we sympathized with each other's situation, and anger back and forth is normal, anger is over.

In 2016, Hoang picked up my mother from Vietnam to the US to attend a wedding and live with us. My mother was a woman who had lived in the country all her life, had never been to the city, and yet had come to America thanks to Huang.

He bought my house down in the country from top to bottom, lacking nothing, and came here to drive my mother around. My mother is pleased with my love, cheerful."

Chau Tuan revealed that his partner was worried, so he did not pressure the economy. "After the pandemic, I went back to singing but there wasn't much work so John advised me to start making an album. I'm in the U.S., working in Vietnam, so it's hard and expensive, but John promises to take care of everything," he said.

"John knew this was my big dream in singing so he made it happen. He said just pick what's best, he's willing to invest. I feel fortunate to be able to make art while many other artists struggle to make ends meet in America," he added.

According to Chau Tuan, his partner has a high income from a management job in a medical device company. Both choose a simple lifestyle, not passionate about shopping, but focusing on health care, accumulating for old age.

Outside of work, same-sex couples enjoy socializing with friends, participating in artist parties in California. For Chau Tuan, it was happy enough, so he and John did not think about having children, using volunteering as a source of long-term joy.

Chau Tuan said: "John doesn't like having children. The people John wanted to take care of were those he was beholden to such as his parents, foster siblings, etc. So, we never thought about children. Just have fun living like that. Now they want to make a lot of money to take care of their family, to pay tribute to those who are indebted to John. That aspiration is so great that I don't care about anything else."

For years, singer Chau Tuan's partner has always wanted to find her birth mother. The two tried to check in with one and the other, searching constantly from the United States to Vietnam. Chau Tuan even drove John to the radio for interviews, participated in the program to find relatives on the radio of Vietnamese people in the US. But after many attempts, the two were still unable to find a mother for John.
