As for Van Hugo, for violating regulations related to misleading advertising about the quality and uses of products, the expected fine is 70 million VND, as stipulated in Clause 5, Article 34 of Decree 38/2021.

"MC Van Hugo advertised that if you persistently use Hiup milk for 3-6 months, your chil.d's height can increase by 3-5cm. Although the female MC said this was her chil.d's personal experience, when presented in the context of product advertising, this content is understood to apply generally to consumers. The authorities affirmed that there is no document proving such specific effects and effectiveness in increasing height," Deputy Director Nguyen Thi Thanh Huyen cited specific examples of the violations.

"During the working process, these two characters said that they advertised based on their personal experiences, but we believe that there has never been any document proving the effectiveness of drinking milk to increase height.

Celebrities must take responsibility when accepting to advertise for brands. They must check whether the advertisements go beyond the uses, features, and ingredients of the product," Ms. Huyen said.
