Recently, actor Thuy Nga shared a meeting between her and singer Tuan Canh - Xuan Mai's father at his and his wife's pho restaurant in California (USA). The male singer's shop is quite crowded, people coming in and out are busy, making him always busy.

Thuy Nga humorously said that over the past time, this pho shop has been rumored to be "scolding pho", because customers who come to the restaurant are scolded. Immediately, Tuan Canh corrected: "Calling "pho scolding" is not right. In the past, the staff at my restaurant scolded each other with customers, so people said that, but I didn't do that. I have never spoken harshly to guests."

Xuan Mai's father added that in the US, the trade is quite strict, so everyone is cautious, there is no case of the owner scolding or speaking harshly to customers. In addition, he also corrected that the information that he was selling a pho shop a few months ago was just a joke. Unexpectedly, many people thought it was true, constantly texting and calling to ask to buy the shop.

"One day I was too tired to joke, but many people thought they were really asking about my shop all the time. But it's true that I'm really tired because the sales are too crowded, sometimes I'm even afraid to answer the phone," Tuan Canh said.

Because the family has a tradition of selling pho, when he came to the US, Xuan Mai's father opened a restaurant and immediately fell in love with the traditional taste of Northern pho. For many years, his income has been mainly thanks to selling pho and being supported by his compatriots, including many friends who are artists.

"I am in the pho business because when I came to the US, I didn't have any profession. Moreover, cooking pho is my family's heirloom profession. Since I was a child, I have helped my parents cook pho. My shop is crowded with customers, so I have enough to eat. But making food is also extreme. Until now, I still stand in the kitchen and cook by myself, not just manage like others, so it's hard," Tuan Canh said.

When he first came to the US, Tuan Canh and his wife lived in Hawaii. The male singer's wife has a nail salon, so he also learned this profession, helping the family with the business. The business is favorable, so the nail salon of the 2 couples is very crowded.

In particular, even though he has just learned the profession, Xuan Mai's father still commented to himself: "No one makes as much money as me because I am good at it." Every month, he can earn 7000 USD (about 175 million VND). Tuan Canh said that many people go to get a nail not only to beautify but also to find someone to talk to and share, but he himself is both skilled and knows how to communicate and understand the meaning of customers, so there are more and more customers. Some people even took a plane to Hawaii to find a male singer to do nails.

After a few years, Tuan Cang's family moved to California. Because in order to make a living, he opened a pho shop, selling more chicken rice, banh chung and traditional dishes favored by many overseas Vietnamese and artists. Every day, Xuan Mai's father opens the shop from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. to go to the gym and enjoy life. It can be said that no matter what job he does, opening a nail salon or a pho shop, he is always "cool", has many customers, and does not have to worry much about the economy.

Singer Tuan Canh is from Hanoi, used to attend the Hanoi School of Culture and Arts and was quite famous in the 1990s in Vietnam, with his hometown lyrical music and young music. At the end of the 90s, he got married and became the "pregnant man" of his daughter - "child singer" Xuan Mai.

In 2004, the male singer divorced his first wife. A few years later, he got married for the second time, was sponsored by his wife to go to the US. "We have a son who is 17 years old this year. My second wife is gentle and assured. We live happily and peacefully," he said about his second marriage.

Xuan Mai is also living in the US and has a good relationship with her father. In addition to Xuan Mai, Tuan Canh also has a son named Rich Anh Tuan, who was also a child singer.
