Currently, Xuan Mai's biological father - singer Tuan Canh - is living a rather difficult life in the US but in return, his business is favorable. Recently, he decided to sell his pho restaurant for an unexpected reason.
Comedian Thuy Nga just brought singer Che Phong and singer Le Thi to singer Tuan Canh's famous pho restaurant in the US to support. It is known that Xuan Mai's biological father has been settling in the country for many years.
Initially, he worked as a nail technician in Hawaii, then moved to California with his second wife to open a Northern-style chicken noodle soup restaurant that was very crowded and often visited by colleagues in the industry. Even when domestic artists come to America to visit, they will come to Tuan Canh's restaurant to eat and drink.
However, according to Thuy Nga, Tuan Canh suddenly offered to sell this successful pho restaurant. Regarding the reason for selling, the male singer said: "I was about to sell the store, but because the goods were too expensive, I couldn't do it, I couldn't control it all, not because the sales were so bad that I had to sell the store. Look at me now. I know it's like this."
His wife also revealed: "If I sell the pho restaurant, I will do nails and open a nail salon." Thuy Nga heard that and immediately asked if anyone had asked to buy it so she could sell it for her and get a 20% commission. As a result, Tuan Canh "closed the deal" so that his colleague could help him sell the pho shop.
After that, Thuy Nga immediately picked up the camera and turned around Tuan Canh's restaurant and said: "Now Mr. Tuan Canh wants to sell the pho restaurant to switch to doing nails to save work. I didn't know someone was asking to buy it." Not yet, but if it's here, I'll show it to everyone.
Mr. Tuan Canh's restaurant is very cute although not too large, located right near my house. It's been a long time since I stopped by Tuan Canh's restaurant and hearing him say he wanted to sell this restaurant made me not happy at all. Tomorrow I want to eat Pho Bac and don't know where to go."
Seeing that Thuy Nga regretted not being able to eat traditional pho, Che Phong quickly suggested that she learn Tuan Canh's profession and take over the pho restaurant, but she refused because she was afraid of cooking. "Well, I'm very afraid of cooking even though when I was 17 years old, I won second place nationally in cooking.
I know, with my body, I'm not suitable to own a restaurant in America because I'm too small. In this foreign land, I have no relatives, parents, or friends, so it is very difficult to own a restaurant. In general, Mr. Tuan Canh sells the pho shop at a very cheap price and whoever buys it will also be taught the craft of cooking Northern pho, which is very delicious," Thuy Nga said.
Singer Tuan Canh is from Hanoi and studied at Hanoi School of Culture and Arts. In the early 1990s, he was loved for his folk-influenced songs and often performed shows in many provinces from the South to the North.
In the late 1990s, Tuan Canh became the "boss" of his daughter - the once famous "child singer" Xuan Mai. After a broken marriage with Xuan Mai's mother, for nearly 20 years, Tuan Canh has lived a secret life abroad.
Recently, he received attention from the audience when appearing in the show "House with Guests" with Thuy Nga. The former singer shared about his journey to establish a career in America, revealing more about his new family with his second wife.
The singer Qua Ngo Nha Em said that he and guitarist Thu Thu (Xuan Mai's mother) fell out of love and divorced in 2004. He moved on with his wife while still in Vietnam.
"After that, my wife sponsored me to come to America. We have a son who is 17 years old. My second wife is gentle and responsible. We live happily and peacefully," Tuan Canh said.
As mentioned, when he first came to America, Tuan Canh and his wife lived in Hawaii. His "partner's" family has a nail salon, but there are few workers, so the male singer also volunteered to help. After several years, his family moved to California.
"At that time, I was just starting out, having to work for other people to do some jobs, while my wife was still doing nails," Xuan Mai's father said. After that, the male singer moved to open a pho restaurant and, however, currently, the work is too hard so he decided to return to the nail profession.
