BI, the former leader of the most notorious group IKON, will make a comeback in Vietnam after the 'scale' scandal

BI is a former member of the boy band Ikon and was the leader, lead rapper, and main dancer. Although he is no longer a member of the group, he still receives the attention and love of fans.

BI's real name is Kim Han Bin, born on October 22, 1996 in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. He is known as a male rapper, singer and music producer. In addition, BI is also a former member of the boy band Ikon under the entertainment company YG Entertainment and held the positions of Leader, Lead Rapper, Main Dancer.

BI officially joined YG Entertainment in 2011 and became a trainee. He first debuted when he featured in MC Mong's "Indian Boy" in 2009. He also participated in the show "Show Me The Money 3" with member Bobby. BI also appeared in Big Bang's Taeyang's "Ringa Linga" MV and Epik High's "Born Hater".

He wrote and composed all of Ikon's songs. He also composed Winner's Empty, Epik High's Born Hater, Blackpink's Whistle, and three of PSY's songs: Bomb, Last Scene, and Auto Reverse. BI has never had a girlfriend before, so he relies on his imagination to write songs.

BI uses movies and books to inspire his songs. His family consists of his father, mother, and younger sister Hanbyul, who is 15 years younger. He currently has three tattoos on his left chest, right hip bone, and shoulder blade.

Regarding his personal life, the moment BI recorded at the music event was said by Korean netizens to be looking at Twice member Dahyun and looking at her passionately, surprising some KPOP fans. Since then, netizens have been discussing whether the two are dating or have feelings for each other. Notably, previously on the show "Idol Room", he revealed that he is a big fan of the girl group Twice, including Dahyun.

However, there are also many opinions that this is simply a moment when BI glanced over and did not mean anything. He also entered the Top 08 and released the song "Be I" which he composed and wrote the lyrics for himself under the guidance of judges Masta Wu and Tablo of Epik High. The song "Be I" performed by BI, although eliminated in episode 07, achieved very high results on Korean music charts.

Then, after the end of the show "Mix & Match", YG Entertainment's new boy band named Ikon was officially formed with 7 members including BI as the leader, Bobby, Kim Jin Hwan, Koo Jun Hoe, Kim Dong Hyuk, Song Yun Hyung and Jung Chanwoo.

BI immediately created a sensation when the song "Love Scenario" he composed helped the group Ikon win the Daesang Song Of The Year award. Not only that, BI also received the "Song Writer Award" and was also the first Idol to receive this award.

However, BI was suddenly involved in a rather serious legal scandal involving the use of 'beam scales', forcing the male idol to later announce his departure from the group Ikon. He also posted a letter on his Instagram account about leaving the group. On the same day, the entertainment company YG Entertainment terminated the contract with BI.

On June 12, 2019, all the information about the male idol's crisis was revealed to be false and he was falsely accused. After leaving the group, BI diligently participated in many volunteer activities. Until September 28, 2020, he was appointed as the CEO of IOK Company.

BI continues to release the Album "Midnight Blue (Love Streaming)" on March 19, 2021. The proceeds from the release will be donated to support children in crisis globally through "World Vision".

And in 2024, the ID community (fandom of BI, former member of iKon) in Vietnam said that they had waited too long to meet their idol, when the news that BI - the KPOP male god would appear in the 8Wonders Moon Festival held in Hanoi made fans restless.

Therefore, as soon as the male artist appeared in the line-up, many IDs in particular and KPOP fans in general "buzzed" with plans to hunt for tickets and prepare plans to welcome him.
