According to Mr. Le Xuan (84 years old, father of Mr. Minh Tue), more than 30 years ago, he and his family moved from Ky Anh district (Ha Tinh) to Ia Grai district (Gia Lai) to start a business. Mr. Xuan and his wife have 3 sons and 1 daughter. Of which, Mr. Le Anh Tu is the second child, currently 43 years old.

Mr. Xuan shared that since childhood, Tu was a gentle, filial son with good academic performance, so he was loved by everyone. After finishing high school, following his father's career, Tu joined the army for about 3 years, then studied at Tay Nguyen Forestry College (Gia Lai).

After graduating, Tu worked as a surveyor for a private company in Dak Lak. At that time, Tu read books about Buddhism, became a vegetarian, and practiced at home. His family was quite worried because he did not have a girlfriend and did not want to get married.

"Nearly 10 years ago, Tu read a book about Buddhism and made a vow to become a monk. At that time, I said that becoming a monk is very difficult, but once you decide, you must practice completely, not break the precepts, be strong and gentle, and not be greedy or angry. When he left, Tu left me a watch, a phone, a refrigerator, and 8 meters of yellow fabric," said Mr. Xuan.

Mr. Xuan confided that his two remaining sons also followed their father's tradition, joining the army before going to vocational school. The elder brother of "Monk Thich Minh Tue" returned from the army to study, then became the director of a state-owned enterprise in Gia Lai.
