Miss Grand Vietnam 2024 4th Runner-up - Anh Vuong is a beauty that is receiving a lot of attention from beauty fans. Having a title after the contest, Anh Vuong could not help but be emotional. Few people know that she has a difficult past.

Anh Vuong's real name is Pham Thi Anh Vuong, a contestant of the Miss Grand Vietnam 2024 contest, representing Binh Thuan province. This beauty born in 2002 left many impressions on beauty fans and especially the judges throughout the contest. With her constant efforts and attempts, Anh Vuong successfully entered the top 5, surpassing many other strong and famous contestants, to finish as 4th runner-up.

However, the beauty also received many comments from fans of other contestants, saying that she did not deserve to be favored as a host contestant. Talking about this after winning the title, Anh Vuong shared: "When I entered the contest, I was treated like many other contestants. I affirm that I did not receive any favor or support. Before that, I learned makeup and catwalk by myself, trying to be neat every time I appeared in front of the camera. I always adhered to the schedule, was disciplined and did not allow myself to be negligent in my activities. I worked hard with the desire to be recognized by the majority. Up to this moment, I am proud of myself for achieving the best results within my ability."

"All of us contestants have to practice and work together throughout the rounds. Whoever is more outstanding will be recognized by the contestant managers. The judges as well as the Organizing Committee have evaluated fairly and objectively and that is the best choice for the final result. Any contest will have controversies, people love - hate is inevitable. I hope the audience loves the top 5, accompany us on the journey of the upcoming 1-year term and future activities". Runner-up Anh Vuong shared more.

Coming from a farming family with not very good conditions, this 4th runner-up title was like a big turning point, opening up a bright future for the beauty queen. Talking about her family background, Anh Vuong choked up: "I was born into a farming family in Binh Thuan, not a wealthy family. My family had a small noodle stall, at 3-4 am my sisters and I got up to help my mother make fish cakes, boil water, and clean bowls. As soon as we closed the shop, we continued to go to the garden to pick dragon fruit, dig potatoes... My parents had to do 3-4 jobs a day, and on the 30th of Tet, they were still busy working. I will always remember the moment my father, in the 12 noon sun in the Central region, carried 45-50kg bags of cassava on his shoulders to travel a long distance. All because he wanted to have a little more money to take care of my sisters' education".

Runner-up Anh Vuong added: "When my sister had congenital heart disease, my family had to sell everything valuable in the house for treatment. Witnessing the moment when my parents were helpless, crying but hiding it from their children made me feel tormented and sad.

Poverty and hardship made me think early on that I had to try harder to be more successful so that my parents would suffer less. I may not be perfect and have many shortcomings, but I am confident that I am persistent, strong, and will not surrender to fate."

After the final night, the beauty from Binh Thuan shared a touching story about her family, and also shared her views on filial piety: "On the final day, when I heard that my daughter was in the top 5, my mother cried and couldn't say a word. That night, my sister transferred 999 thousand VND, and my mother gave me 499 thousand VND, with the message: "Mom, sister and family are very proud of you".

After the competition night, I had to stay for a press interview and take photos to return to the sponsor. My family waited for me until after 1am, took a few quick photos and then got back in the car to go home. Honestly, I have not thought about having to show filial piety and my parents do not demand that from their daughter. My family is now stable, has enough to eat and is not lacking like before. For me, the reward comes from small things, like calling my family every day, regularly asking about them, telling them I love them... sometimes that is enough to make me happy."

Regarding future love, Anh Vuong expressed his opinion on a role model: "I admire a kind, warm man who knows how to love and share with others. In the future, I hope to meet a boyfriend with similar qualities. Whenever I watch a program with a handsome male singer or model, I "squeal", scream, and cheer non-stop. However, in life, being beautiful is not enough, you need to have the ability and know how to rise up. I am attracted to positive, optimistic people."

"In love, I believe that everything must come from the heart. If I have feelings, I will boldly move forward. I don't ask for too much, it's not necessary for my boyfriend to be a successful tycoon. I don't have a lover yet, I just let everything depend on fate. For now, I want to focus on graduating from university and the sideline activities of Miss Grand Vietnam before thinking about personal matters," Anh Vuong confided.
