Runner-up Phuong Anh: Great education, RMIT lecturer, "being a teacher" series causing a stir

When mentioning the talented and studious Miss of the Golden Lotus House of Vietnamese showbiz, we cannot fail to mention Pham Ngoc Phuong Anh - 1st runner-up of Miss Vietnam 2020. In June 2024, the Miss officially became a lecturer at RMIT University Vietnam.

Runner-up Phuong Anh once made people "admire" with her excellent academic record. She was the valedictorian of the bilingual program at Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted (HCMC) with a near-perfect score of 49/50. Not only that, she was also an excellent student for 12 consecutive years, of which 11 years she achieved an average score of over 9.0. In grade 12 alone, she won third prize in the National Excellent Student Competition in French.

Thanks to her impressive academic achievements, runner-up Phuong Anh was admitted directly to two of the most prestigious universities in Vietnam: Foreign Trade University and Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology. However, she chose a different path when she decided to study at RMIT University with a full scholarship for 4 years. The reason given was that she wanted to study in an international environment, using English completely as a way to continue to develop her foreign language strengths.

In March 2021, runner-up Phuong Anh once again made netizens admire when she became the valedictorian of RMIT's Information Management Systems major with a GPA of 3.5/4.0 - in the top 15% of students with the best academic performance nationwide in the major.

Not long after, she continued to receive a scholarship for a 1.5-year Master of Global Trade in 2021 at RMIT University Vietnam. From student, valedictorian, to graduate student and now lecturer, the beauty queen has completed a complete journey right at the school she once attended.

Not only is Pham Ngoc Phuong Anh a good student, she is also known as a true "foreign language expert". Although she was a student majoring in French, she also possesses excellent English skills. Currently, the runner-up holds an IELTS 8.0 certificate and a DALF C1 certificate - the highest level of French according to the European reference framework.

Notably, despite her busy teaching schedule, Phuong Anh still maintains her work in the fields of communications and education and actively inspires young people to learn. On TikTok and social platforms, she regularly shares tips on learning foreign languages, self-study skills and career orientation. Her gentle, approachable and humorous teaching style makes students excited.

In addition to her impressive academic achievements, runner-up Phuong Anh also has a happy married life with businessman Ho Dac Duc (born in 1994), currently studying for a PhD in the UK. The couple met and fell in love for more than a year before getting married in September 2023.

The beauty born in 1998 admitted that she never set a goal of getting married, having a house, having a master's degree at the age of 26... but she has achieved all of them. Therefore, she is grateful and cherishes her current life.
