The 22-year-old beauty also reposted this announcement on her Instagram with a series of photos wearing the Miss World Thailand 2025 sash. Many fans supported her to try out for Miss World because her beauty and style fit the criteria for Miss World.

However, in the afternoon of the same day, the Miss Universe homepage immediately announced that Opal Suchata Chuangsri had been strippe.d of her third runner-up title. The reason given was that she had violated her contract by participating in another beauty pageant during her term.

"The Miss Universe Organization is committed to promoting the empowerment, leadership and positive representation of women around the world. We set high standards for our crowned beauties, ensuring that they embody these values throughout their 12-month tenure.

Recently, we discovered that TPN Global did not comply with the regulations set by the National Director (ND), when allowing a reigning Miss Universe to participate in another beauty pageant before completing her term. Therefore, we were forced to make the difficult decision: to revoke the title of 3rd Runner-up, because she violated the contract by participating in another contest," the Miss Universe Organizing Committee announced.

This unit believes that the act of sending a representative to participate in another beauty pageant during the term has affected the standards and professionalism of the Miss Universe contest. Therefore, from May 1, the Miss Universe organization will strengthen the enforcement of strict regulations for all National Directors (ND) related to this issue.

The decision has caused controversy in the international beauty community. Some argue that the title of third runner-up does not have as strong legal binding as the title of beauty queen - the official representative of the organization worldwide.

Some people even suspect that there is someone behind the scenes pulling the strings. And the person in the target is none other than Mr. Nawat. Opal Suchata Chuangsri was born in 2003, 1.8 m tall. She was crowned Miss Universe Thailand 2024 in July last year and won a spot in the Miss Universe 2024 contest in Mexico. The beauty then excelled over more than 120 contestants, winning the title of 3rd runner-up in the final on November 16. The Miss Universe crown belonged to the Danish beauty, Victoria Kjær Theilvig while the titles of 1st and 2nd runner-up were awarded to the beauties Chidimma Adetshina from Nigeria and María Fernanda Beltrán from Mexico. Miss Vietnam, Ky Duyen, entered the top 30.

Before competing in Miss Universe, Suchata Chuangsri was a student at Thammasat University (Thailand), majoring in international relations law. She is fluent in English and Chinese and is highly regarded for her outstanding figure, elegant and charming beauty. Many home audiences were disappointed when Opal Suchata stopped in the top 5 of Miss Universe.

Suchata is currently implementing the Love charity project - focusing on renovating old schools, adding books to libraries and providing free meals to disadvantaged children in preparation for Miss World 2025.

"I only have 15 days to prepare before leaving and starting this journey, but I carry with me a lifelong goal. I carry with me the spirit of my people and most importantly, I carry with me a heart ready to contribute for the better things in this world," the beauty queen shared.

The Miss World 2025 pageant will take place on May 31 in Telangana, India. 104 contestants from around the world have confirmed their participation in the pageant. Vietnam's beauty representative at Miss World this year is Miss Huynh Tran Y Nhi.
