Together in the EP consisting of two songs, Thu Minh, Pham Quynh Anh, Minh Hang and Dong Nhi moved listeners with the whispers of a daughter to her mother, bringing emotions to the hot moms of Vietnamese showbiz. dedicated to this album.
In the special music project to launch International Women's Day on March 8, Thu Minh brought the song "Mother Don't Be Angry" with Pham Quynh Anh, Minh Hang and Dong Nhi in the song "Mother Takes Me". They are the same sincere confessions of a daughter towards her father, but the two songs have two different colors.
"I was in a hurry to leave again, and suddenly I was sad and wet the corners of my eyes. Leaving my house, I walked to the city. My mother looked behind me, then faded at the end of the street. Apparently, my mother was worried again." Opening with the words of the girl's separation when she left her familiar home to join the big world, Mother Don't Be Angry With Me is tinged with sadness but not melancholy.
The title of the song is the whisper that constantly resounds in the chorus, the daughter's message to calm her mother. And even though her legs were tired in the hustle and bustle of the world and her heart was aching with homesickness, she told herself to walk strong because: "Why do I just want to go home now! But mom, I know, must show the world that your daughter is not weak."
From the melody to the lyrics, Mother Don't Be Angry Con Nhe sings emotionally, able to bring tears to the listener's eyes through Thu Minh's performance. The song helps the female singer show off her powerful and deep voice. On the contrary, the thickness, strength and delicate way of linking, Thu Minh's affection elevates the emotions of the song.
Being a fastidious person in music, Thu Minh nodded to join the EP as soon as she heard the demo "Mother Don't Be Angry" by musician Phuc Bo. By listening for the first time, she was in tears. Entering the studio, Thu Minh burst into tears many times. "This was the hardest time to record, not because the song was difficult, but because I had to stop... blowing my nose too much. Every word is almost true to the story of me and my mother," Thu Minh said. confide.
Like senior Thu Minh, the trio Pham Quynh Anh - Minh Hang - Dong Nhi has the perfect combination with Mother Takes Children. The song has a mellow sound and rustic lyrics, matching the deep and sweet voices of three super hot mothers in Vietnamese showbiz.
Lyrisc of Mother Carrying Her Child is intertwined between nostalgia and reality. When I was a child, I sat in the back of my mother's car. And when I grow up, it's my turn to be a chauffeur to take my mother everywhere. That is the wish that every child in this world always cherishes to fulfill in order to be filial to the one who gave birth. The word "carry" in the song's title contains many layers of meaning, both mother and child driving, taking each other to the horizon; just metaphorically a mother protects me, even when I'm a baby or when I'm grown up.
Having been friends for many years, Pham Quynh Anh, Minh Hang and Dong Nhi recorded one more beautiful memory when harmonizing the song with many meanings. They bring their love for their mother and their thoughts on becoming a mother into each song. As revealed by production director Quynh Chau, Minh Hang was initially not named in this EP, because the project was aimed at Vbiz's mothers. But once, "baby Pig" invited the whole Culture Family group to dinner and announced the good news that she was pregnant with her first child. So, the female singer-actress became a vocalist on the record.
The two songs "Mother Don't Be Angry With Me" and "Mom Carrying You Go" extend the Minh & Ping Journey project - a spring trip through Vietnam of U80 lecturers and their daughter that took place earlier this year. The story in each song is attached to the mother-daughter love of the two main characters on the trip. The romantic melody of the Mother Takes Me Away has more and more connections with the story of Journey Minh & Ping. The song is reminiscent of long roads, bringing a feeling of relaxation and chill in the moments of traveling while singing.
In 40 days, Quynh Chau drove her mother - lecturer Vu Thuy Minh - and her pet cat Ping over 5,000 km, watching the beautiful scenery along the length of the country. Departing from Ho Chi Minh City, they followed the mountain road, returning to celebrate Tet with their family in Hanoi; visit the Northwest and then return to the South along the most beautiful coastlines of Vietnam.
Quynh Chau shared that her mother was her good companion on many trips at home and abroad in the past. After 10 years of cherishing, she made Minh & Ping Journey, marking a unique memory with a memorable trip with her mother. During the days of traveling on the road, sometimes she was worried because her mother's feet hurt and her health was not good. But such things are only small obstacles, not enough to prevent mother and child and their pet cat from enjoying peaceful and interesting days together.
Vbiz's hot mom quartet said that they were greatly inspired by this journey, so they did not hesitate to be invited to participate in the EP. The female singers and the production crew hope that this is the 8/3 gift they give to their mother as well as all mothers in the world. Following this EP, Journey to Minh & Ping will release an album of 8 songs performed by Gen Z singers, in early summer.
