200 tattooists across the country gathered to give 500 gifts to the people of Long An

Recently, a special charity event in Long An attracted a lot of attention from the online community. Many people have left respect and admiration for tattoo "artists" for their meaningful and practical actions.

Specifically, more than 200 tattooists from all over the country gathered to contribute money and contribute to giving meaningful gifts to people living in Vinh Hung (Long An).

It is known that the above charity event was organized by Mr. Le Duong Thanh (30 years old, living in Tan An City, Long An). Thanh said: When he was 19 years old, when he started to open a tattoo shop, he met many discriminatory glances from many people around him. Even his family did not support him, forcing him to close the shop.

Since that time, Thanh has dreamed of organizing a charity event each year with her own heart, to help the image of tattooists in Vietnam become better in the eyes of the people.

During this charity event, Mr. Thanh called for other tattooists from all over the country to accompany him. Fortunately, in the end, more than 200 tattooists responded, tattooing for free for a week to raise funds.

"In addition, I also organize a contest for paintings drawn by famous ink workers, tattoo machines, ink bottles... all the money will be put into the general fund. Fortunately, there were more than 300 million dong, equivalent to 500 gifts "- Mr. Thanh said.

This time, the tattoo artists mainly gave gifts and necessities to the children living in Vinh Hung. "Even in Vinh Hung, there are many children returning from Cambodia, they often sell lottery tickets during the day, attend classes in love at night, have never been fully dressed. When they receive gifts, they are very happy. That image helps all tattooists forget their fatigue, "- Mr. Thanh said.

According to Mr. Thanh, when people first saw the tattoo crew coming, they felt very scared. However, when they understood the group's heart, they began to open their hearts and happily accept gifts.

It is known that Le Duong Thanh used to be a medical student, then he decided to take a break to pursue his passion for tattooing. At that time, tattooing was not popular, so he faced many difficulties.

Not giving up, the 9x guy went to the Internet every day to tinker with himself and began to practice tattooing for a living. When he had a little skill, Thanh returned to his hometown to set up a business, although he continued to face the stigma of relatives and neighbors.

"On the opening day, friends from all over came to congratulate me, so I hung a tattoo in front of the new glass door. So the neighbors in the area "didn't like it" and talked about it everywhere. My father immediately ran out and said: "You take that picture down for me", he always thought that tattooing only criminals would steal to the police.

Although he suffered many stumbles and curses... but he still persisted in pursuing his passion to the end. To prove his ability, in early 2015, he started to register to participate in tattoo competitions at home and abroad.

After more than 10 years of experience through many national and international tattoo competitions, Thanh has won 20 large and small awards and has become a famous tattooist in the profession.

Happy when his constant efforts paid off, Thanh said: "Since then, I know that to prove that I'm still a good person with tattoos, I can change people's views. At first, I called for my brothers to go to volunteer work, which was heavily scrutinized. Once on the border to give gifts to poor children, the children saw us with tattoos and cried out "we want to receive a gift," and then ran away to meet them.

Currently, the owner of Thanh Tattoo tattoo shop said that he hopes that each year there will be enough money and energy to carry out charity trips as planned. At the same time, he also plans to organize a monthly kitchen to help disadvantaged people and patients in hospitals.

"I always think that giving is forever, so the more charity I do, the more I will receive, at least thank you. I will also set an example for my students so that 10 students can do 10 districts, 100 students can do 100 districts, how much larger this number will be...", Mr. Thanh smiled.

Tattooed boys often receive discriminatory "eyes", but their beautiful and kind actions are increasingly conquering the prejudices of many people. Hopefully, in the future this work will be more well received.
