According to journalist Minh Hai, striker Nguyen Xuan Son has reached a weight of 100kg (1 quintal). The reason is that he did not exercise much and had to take a lot of fluids and medicine while recovering from his injury.

In the first 1-2 weeks, the goal is to control pain, activate neuromuscular and restore mobility and prevent complications if any.

The next stages are aimed at increasing strength, improving range of motion, balance and physical preparation. After 6 months of maximum intensity training, if he meets the standards, Son will be allowed to compete again."

Thus, it is expected that in July 2025, if the recovery process goes smoothly, Xuan Son will be able to return to official competition. As for ensuring that he can reintegrate with Nam Dinh Club and the Vietnam National Team to compete at a high level, a thorough preparation process is required.
