The death of the Hollywood actor and his wife: Announcing the haunting call for help

Police Chief Adan Mendoza also revealed that 'both people tested negative for carbon monoxide'. However, until now, the official cause of death has not been determined for Hackman and his wife, Arakawa. The sheriff added that it is currently unclear which of the two Hackmans died first. The police are still re-pairing the timeline.

The latest update on the investigation into the incident of Gene Hackman and one of their three dogs states that the two were found dead in their home in New Mexico at around 1:45 p.m. local time on Wednesday.

'An individual who came in for maintenance of the residence, became concerned after not receiving an answer and contacted neighborhood security to conduct a welfare check' — according to a Santa Fe County Sheriff's Office press release obtained earlier by Page Six — 'Then, Security forces checked the residence and found Hackman and Arakawa lying motionless on the ground through a window and called 911.

In the released recording, the informant urgently asked the police to send people to the scene as soon as possible. "One or two people have died, I don't know anymore, I don't know how they are, whether they are still breathing or not because the door is locked.
