The two women are now being treated as "key witnesses" rather than suspects in Liam Payne's death, which is believed to be "unexplained".

Prosecutors said in their first official statement that they had interviewed five witnesses, including two mystery women and three hotel employees. An autopsy confirmed that Liam Payne had suffered 25 separate injuries.
