Nostradamus and the 2026 Curse: The Truth You Need to Know, Don't Be Misled!

Le Thi Rieng Park, formerly a military cemetery, has now become a bustling recreational area in the heart of Saigon. However, ghostly rumors about the site still linger, sending chills down the spines of those who hear them, based on accounts from long-time park caretakers.
Ghosts from the past and rumors of a "gloomy eucalyptus grove"
Few people know that, before becoming a bustling recreational area, Le Thi Rieng Park was once the Do Thanh Cemetery – the resting place of thousands of nameless graves and unknown soldiers. This "gloomy" origin became fertile ground for rumors of white figures lurking by the deep lake or moaning sounds emanating from the bushes at midnight.
The focal point of these eerie stories often revolves around a patch of overgrown eucalyptus trees in a secluded corner of the park. For years, this area was considered "forbidden territory" at night due to its lack of light and perpetually gloomy and silent atmosphere. Locals whispered that whenever it rained, the cold air rising from the ground made the space so spooky that no one dared approach for fear of encountering "spirits from the underworld" still burdened by earthly concerns.
The truth behind the spotlight: The account of a long-time "gatekeeper".
To unravel these mysteries, Mr. Su, a security guard who has spent almost his entire life at the park, confidently stated, contrary to the apprehension of many: "I patrol day and night, I've been to every nook and cranny, and I haven't seen anything. Sometimes I'd like to 'see' it once to find out, but there's absolutely nothing."
According to the elderly security guard, the truth about the ghost in the eucalyptus garden is actually a staged act by those who "don't know fear." This area is remote and rarely visited, making it an ideal "hideout" for hackers and other unsavory characters. To protect their territory and deter public curiosity, these individuals have repeatedly spread rumors and created bizarre phenomena to scare people. In fact, during a major raid by the District 10 Police, more than 41 individuals were arrested right in the park's "hideout," officially unveiling the truth behind the long-standing rumors of the "ghost."
From an old cemetery to an immortal monument of history.
Setting aside the exaggerated and fantastical stories, Le Thi Rieng Park today holds a sacred and solemn historical value. It is not only a vibrant recreational area but also the site of a memorial to the martyrs who bravely sacrificed their lives during the Tet Offensive of 1968. The mass graves of these unknown heroes, along with the tombs of martyrs Le Thi Rieng and Tran Van Kieu, have transformed this area into a symbol of indomitable spirit.
Every day, starting at 4 a.m., people still flock here to exercise and breathe the fresh air without fear. For them, those who have fallen are heroes, sons of the nation protecting the peace of the city. The ghostly rumors are now just echoes of an unsolved past, giving way to pride and respect for historical values that will live on forever.
