Phan Cong Khanh â a supercar dealer and former "king of amateur volleyball" â has just been prosecuted for defrauding tens of billions of dong, ending his days of living lavishly with a fleet of billion-dollar cars.
The Ho Chi Minh City Procuracy has just completed the indictment, prosecuting Phan Cong Khanh (31 years old, residing in Vinh Long), who was once known by the nickname "Khanh Super", a famous figure in the supercar enthusiast world, for fraud and appropriation of property. Also prosecuted in the case is Mohamach Da Pha (29 years old, from An Giang) for two crimes: Fraudulent appropriation of property and Abuse of trust to appropriate property.
The case shocked the supercar world and the online community, when the portrait of an "inspirational businessman", a "youth idol" suddenly collapsed in a series of sophisticated frauds, appropriating tens of billions of dong.
According to the indictment, due to business losses and needing finances to pay off debts, Phan Cong Khanh, along with Huynh Xuan Van (currently wanted) and Mohamach Da Pha, planned a sophisticated fraud. This group used deceitful tricks to appropriate a McLaren supercar worth 7.1 billion VND from a female tycoon named LNTH.
Not stopping there, Khanh and Van also created a fake scenario, saying that Khanh - Supper Company owned a Brabus G800 (an extremely rare luxury SUV in Vietnam). With carefully calculated words, the two made Mr. THP - a famous tycoon in the car enthusiast world trust and transfer 24.5 billion VND to buy the car. After receiving it, Khanh immediately disappeared, using the money for personal purposes. Only when he was arrested did Mr. P. realize that he had become the victim in the sophisticated drama.
Notably, the defendant Mohamach Da Pha was no less cunning. Pha borrowed a BMW worth VND 870 million from Mr. LTS for temporary use. However, Pha then secretly pawned the car for VND 1 billion and lied that he was still using the car as usual. The money was then transferred to Van. Huynh Xuan Van is currently on the run and is wanted nationwide by the Ho Chi Minh City Police.
Few people expected that, before being caught up in the law, Phan Cong Khanh was a volleyball player with a bright future. During the period 2008-2015, he played professionally for provincial teams and was called up to the national team in 2014. However, a finger injury forced him to give up his sports career. Khanh once shared on YouTube that, at that time, he only earned 5-6 million VND/month and his family situation was extremely difficult.
In 2017, Khanh officially entered the supercar business. He founded K-Supper Company, owns a luxury car showroom in the center of Ho Chi Minh City and quickly became famous in the "car playing" community thanks to his aesthetic taste and ability to connect with the rich.
However, Khanh's fame does not only come from cars. On his personal Facebook page, he regularly posts inspirational videos, teaches how to get rich, start a business, and even shares his philosophy of life. He is also known as the "supercar idol", idolized by many young people because of his journey from nothing to becoming a boss.
In the car enthusiast world, mentioning Khanh Super means mentioning a collection of supercars that are as valuable as any tycoon: from Rolls-Royce, Ferrari, Porsche, to luxury cars like the yellow Lamborghini Aventador SVJ, McLaren 720S Spider, Lamborghini Urus, Lamborghini Huracan LP610-4...
Not only that, Khanh's garage is also a gathering place for large displacement motorcycles and luxury cars such as Bentley, Audi, BMW... All of which contribute to creating the image of a glamorous and attractive "super car tycoon".
However, all of that is just the tip of the iceberg. Underneath the luxurious exterior, the supercar prince is facing a severe sentence for a series of fraudulent acts, appropriating assets worth tens of billions of dong. A "bitter ending" for a journey from athlete to businessman, then free-falling into the law because of ambition, debt and loss of moral boundaries.
The Phan Cong Khanh case not only shocked the world because of the huge amount of money embezzled, but also served as a warning to young people. Behind the "get rich quick" lessons, the million-view startup videos... are sometimes just covers for fraudulent behavior. Being flashy on social networks does not mean real success. Idols of young people, inspirational people cannot be judged solely by what they show off online.
Phan Cong Khanh â from a promising athlete, a beloved businessman, has exchanged everything for reckless fraud. The journey from "king of amateur volleyball" to "supercar fraud suspect" is a heartbreaking lesson about ambition, morality and alertness in the era of virtual media.
Phan Cong Khanh continues to be accused - fraud, appropriating more than 25 billion VND Hàn Di08:59:54 24/07/2023On July 23, the Ho Chi Minh City Police Investigation Agency said that it had made a decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused and execute the arrest warrant for Phan Cong Khanh (or Khanh Super, SN 1994) on the crime of fraud to appropriate property.
