Gen Z leaving the city to return to the countryside to create content, introduce the landscape and cuisine of their homeland is no longer strange to a part of Vietnamese people. They consider it a "healing" trend after a time of struggling and making a living in the city.

There are also groups of young people who study in the city and try their hand at content creation in their hometowns. They want to contribute a small part in promoting their hometown’s specialties, landscapes and culture to friends at home and abroad.

A typical example is a group of young people in Nghe An who together built a TikTok channel with the message "A place to release emotions, soothe your soul". The channel currently has nearly 361,000 followers, 4.7 million likes and many videos reaching millions of views.

Lam Anh (born 2003, student at Vinh University, Nghe An) - a country g.irl who regularly appears in videos on TikTok channel said that she and her group of friends created the channel to introduce to viewers the typical dishes of Nghe An countryside. Through that, the group wants to promote the image, people and culture of Nghe An to millions of people across the country.

Lam Anh confided that when she was young, her parents often took her back to the countryside to visit her grandparents. She experienced the peaceful life in the countryside, eating rustic dishes cooked by her grandmother.

"The dishes are not only delicious but also filled with the love of grandparents. That has been deeply imprinted in my mind - a c.hild who loves to go back to the countryside.

As I grew older, my trips back to my hometown became less frequent because my parents were busy with work and I was busy with my studies. But that memory always existed in my mind, urging me to build a Tiktok channel to recreate the old hometown scene," the Gen Z g.irl confided.

Thinking is doing, Lam Anh invited her close friends to "start a business" while still in school. She and her friends came up with ideas, scripts and started making a film filled with nostalgic memories of the past. Therefore, the first video made a strong impression and was supported by many people.

The Nghe An g.irl said that although the video is only a few minutes long, it takes the group about 10-15 days to make, going through many steps, from content creation, finding the setting, preparation and filming, to post-production. Some videos even require traveling far, taking place in many places, so the time will be longer.

Talking about the difficulties in creating content, Lam Anh said that finding a suitable setting to shoot a video is not easy. Because the rural areas of Nghe An are now very developed, finding the setting and old objects takes a lot of time and effort.

Currently, many YouTubers also choose the culinary and cultural direction to attract viewers. Therefore, Lam Anh also tries to bring a certain difference. For her, each YouTuber is different because they have their own story. For example, a specialty dish is chicken soup in Nghe An, but each district, each commune, each family and even each person has a different way of preparing and tasting. The same is true everywhere in Vietnam, which creates the richness of the country's culture and cuisine.

Along with that, Lam Anh's group set out the message of preserving beautiful memories of peaceful life in the countryside, rustic dishes, and at the same time helping viewers "heal" after hard working hours, making difficulties even more difficult. "In the e.nd, we still did it, still produced films that evoke the memories of millions of people in Nghe An as well as Vietnam," the g.irl confided.

The Gen Z g.irl also told everyone that a person's happiness is to do a job they love, and have a stable income to take care of themselves and their family. She and her friends are having that happiness.

Many people after watching the video of Lam Anh and her group of friends exclaimed that "she is imitating some famous Chinese YouTubers, such as: country fairy Ly Tu That, Dien Tay Tieu Ca". They saw that the filming, content, and acting style all had a strong "borrowed" style. Some people even thought Lam Anh was a g.irl from a remote mountainous area of China when watching the video for the first time.
