She won the first runner-up title of Miss Southern Vietnam 2017 while she was a student of the French Department, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ho Chi Minh City. In 2018, Thuy Tien participated in the Miss Vietnam contest. As a result, she entered the Top 5 finalists, winning the Beauty with a Heart sub-prize. In the same year, she was given the opportunity to "fight" at Miss International in Japan but did not achieve the expected results.

Coming to the Miss Grand International 2021 contest, Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien scored points with the beauty-loving community when she spoke fluent English and some Thai communication sentences. Thanks to that, she received special attention from the media as well as the international beauty fan community.

In 2023, she introduced the project Cheer Up by building playgrounds for children in hospitals across the country. In addition, Thuy Tien received many certificates of merit and was invited by the Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs to be a speaker at the 5th International Conference. The beauty born in 1998 was honored as a typical young Vietnamese face.

Although she has been a judge in many major beauty contests in the country and was chosen by leading designers to be the vedette in fashion shows, Miss Thuy Tien still intends to become an actress.
