Miss Grand International 2021 Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien and Miss Universe Vietnam 2023 2nd Runner-up Hong Dang both spoke out after being harassed in public.

On February 23, Miss Universe Vietnam 2023 2nd Runner-up Hong Dang attracted attention when she shared about being harassed in public. Specifically, at around 5:00 p.m. the previous day, on her way to the gym near her home, she was moleste.d by a person on a motorbike and ran away.

After calming down, Hong Dang returned to the scene and searched for security cameras from surrounding stores to find the suspect’s license plate number. She said the perpetrato.r was wearing a mask, covered up, and a red helmet.

"Many women, from young to old, are harassed, abused, 'interacted' with and have to live in fear, shame, and silence while the bad guys are at large," runner-up Hong Dang emphasized. She called on everyone to boldly fight against harassment. The case is currently being investigated by the authorities.

On the same afternoon, Miss Thuy Tien revealed that she was also a victi.m of harassment. After attending an event, she encountered a similar situation as soon as she stepped out of the elevator. Because there were many cameras around and influenced by social prejudice, Thuy Tien chose to remain silent. Miss Grand International 2021 shared: "That time, after finishing an event, I took the elevator with many other people. When I just stepped out of the elevator, there was a moment when I realized something was wrong. I panicked, wanted to scream but then saw many cameras around. I was shy, embarrassed and could only stand and watch that person pass by."

In a conversation with actor Hieu Nguyen, Thuy Tien said she had to be hospitalized because of pressure. Thuy Tien confided: "They doubt the projects I have done and am doing, that's what makes me saddest. When there are unresolved issues, I can't eat. Tien thinks this is partly true. I have gone through many challenges, from prejudice, barriers, and doubts. People often say that Miss is just a title that cannot do this or that. That is one of the meanings of doubt. It is from that doubt that I have the motivation to develop more. Many people do not believe that I can do it, so I have to try harder. Being famous is a pressure but also a good motivation for me to be more disciplined, to have goals to develop myself."

Currently, Miss Thuy Tien seems to be competing with many beauty queens and beauties who are pursuing their passion for acting. 'With cinema, I am still a new face.
