Thai Huong: TH's strong woman, Labor Hero of the renovation period

Ms. Thai Huong, born in 1958 in Nghe An, is one of the most powerful businesswomen in Vietnam. She is currently the Chairwoman of the Strategy Council of TH Group and General Director of Bac A Commercial Joint Stock Bank.

Ms. Thai Huong has appeared continuously in Forbes' list of "50 most powerful businesswomen in Asia" in 2015 and 2016. In 2019, she was honored as "ASEAN's most powerful businesswoman".

Ms. Thai Huong is the first Vietnamese businesswoman to win the gold medal in the "Businesswoman of the Year" category at the International Business Awards and is on the list of "50 Most Influential Asian Women Over 50 in 2022" by Forbes. In 2020, she was awarded the title of Hero of Labor in the Renovation Period.

Ms. Thai Huong has made an important contribution to the development of Vietnamese agriculture by using high technology and management science. The project "Application of high technology in dairy farming and milk processing" with a total investment of 1.2 billion USD is a typical example. Under her leadership, TH Group has built a clean food ecosystem and aims to provide quality products, ensuring human health and happiness.

Pioneering marks

In 2008, the melamine-tainted milk crisis, with the risk of causing kidney stones in children, shocked the world dairy industry and negatively affected the Vietnamese dairy market. With the desire to bring to consumers fresh, clean, safe milk products, at reasonable prices and produced right on Vietnamese soil, Ms. Thai Huong determined to bring TH into the dairy market.

Overcoming the initial difficulties in terms of experience, technology and capital, with determination, daring to do and taking responsibility, AHLĐ Thái Hương led TH to research and explore to find solutions to gradually overcome difficulties, finding the best path - that is to combine Vietnamese natural resources, Vietnamese intelligence with world-class technology and advanced management science intertwined.

Over the past 15 years, she has always led TH Group with investment consultancy from BAC A BANK to follow the core value of "harmonizing interests" - always harmonizing interests between enterprises, communities and people; willing to accept a longer break-even time in exchange for the problem of sustainable development, ensuring social security associated with environmental protection.

To date, TH has owned a cluster of high-tech concentrated farms with the world's largest closed-loop production process (confirmed by the World Record Union since the end of 2020), a herd of nearly 70,000 cows, and a TH true MILK fresh milk processing factory in Nghe An with a total designed processing capacity of 500,000 tons/year. A series of TH products have been honored as National Brands and have won many international quality awards for many consecutive years.

TH Group continues to replicate the model of dairy farming and high-tech milk processing in many other provinces and cities across the country.

TH's success has contributed to the Government's plan to develop dairy farming areas and its fresh milk production growth targets (1.4 billion liters by 2025); protecting domestic agricultural production and limiting the import of milk powder from abroad.

One of the revolutionary contributions of Ms. Thai Huong and TH Group is to bring about a change in the nature of the domestic dairy industry: In 2008, when TH was preparing to enter the market, Vietnam imported up to 92% of powdered milk to reconstitute into reconstituted milk. After 15 years, with the participation of TH true MILK, this rate has decreased to about 40%.

In parallel with developing the domestic market, TH has seized effective investment opportunities abroad. Notably, the project of raising dairy cows and processing high-tech milk in the Russian Federation for 10 years, with a total investment of 2.7 billion USD; two large projects on natural cow grazing and crop farming with a total investment of 88.5 million USD in Australia.

Aspiration to be a "good housewife"

After fresh milk, TH, with investment advice from BAC A BANK, continues to launch many lines of milk and healthy drinks. Notably, the product lines are diverse nutritional solutions for each customer group, such as TH true MILK HILO, TH true MILK GOLD, TH true FORMULA; thereby affirming TH's position as a nutrition expert in the industry.

With the mission of For community health, at the end of July 2023, TH officially introduced to the market the TH true FOOD processed food product line Vietnamese kitchen - Kind housewife including products such as sliced cabbage kimchi, rice cakes, dumplings, bacon, smoked sausage, ... to meet the diverse nutritional needs of modern life.
