New Miss American Teen 2024: learn to dance after a serious psychological incident

The final of Miss Teen USA 2024, closed with the victory belonging to Addie Carver, representing the state of Mississippi. According to CNN, Miss USA 2023 Savannah Gankiewicz was the one who crowned Carver, not the previous year's miss.

Addie Carver, 17, is currently a student at Lawrence County High School. She learned to dance at the age of 13 as a way to heal her soul after her father died of cancer. Through dance, the beauty wants to inspire people to be motivated to overcome challenges in life. She even founded the non-profit project Dance to Empower with the goal of spreading the joy of dancing. The beauty turned to dancing to regain energy and inspiration. She opened a dance center, with the desire to help girls across the United States overcome mental health issues.

Carver was introduced as a teaching assistant specializing in supporting students aged 3-16 and joined the school's cheerleading team. On her personal page, she often shares pictures of her dance class.
