After the controversial statement about "bringing back pure Hip-hop", Rhymastic immediately released a new rap song "Never Cheer Ly", affirming the OG quality and countering the criticism.
The Vietnamese rap industry in recent days has become "hot" when Rhymastic suddenly made a series of attention-grabbing moves. After the strong statement of "bringing back pure Hip-hop" attracted more than 125 thousand interactions, the male rapper excited fans by reviving his stage name YC â the name that once made his name in the underground.
Not only a feverish statement, Rhymastic quickly realized the words with a new product called "Then Sao" â track 02 to open the series of re-export projects. Many fans predict that this may be the start of a mini album or long-term album, marking a new stage in his career.
Combined with Touliver, "Then Sao" clearly shows the spirit of a veteran rapper who has risen from the underground, now operating in the mainstream but still retaining his personality and pure hip-hop spirit. Rhymastic as YC shows a straightforward, defiant attitude and is not afraid to collide, showing that he still retains his "fire" after many years of fighting.
However, contrary to expectations, "Then Sao" received mixed opinions. Although praised for its rap technique, rhyming and lyrics with depth â true to the Rhymastic style, many people think that the track is not heavy enough, the content lacks breakthroughs, and is even compared to HIEUTHUHAI 's " Trinh ", a bragging track that is somewhat sharper and more personally affirmative.
On social networks, many fans think that this "re-emergence" is not commensurate with the reputation of Rhymastic â an OG who helped shape the first generation of rap diss in Vietnam. Many people commented that "Then Sao" has not shown the true spirit of YC every day. This makes the rap community boil, especially when the promise of "bringing Hip-hop back" seems to have not been clearly proven.
Not letting the public have time to cool down, on the evening of 10/10 at exactly 10 o'clock, YC suddenly released a new track called "Never Cheer Ly". Unlike "Then Sao", this song does not have a numbering or team credit, leading many people to believe that this is a "wild rift" product written by him immediately after receiving a wave of condemnation.
The content of "Never Cheer Ly" is a direct response to the sarcasm and skepticism of the previous statement. Rhymastic raps extremely harshly with the sentences: "Releasing an album instead of a wild rift, what about?", "It's not the guy who let you tell me", clearly showing the attitude of counterattacking and affirming the position.
What made rap fans "wake up" was when Rhymastic mentioned the name of B Ray â who had been hostile to him in the past, through the sentence: "yes, I rap first of all because of me, it's not your turn to hold your hand, just tell me."
Not stopping there, YC also "named" De Choat, the champion of Vietnamese Rap season 1 â who is considered the cause of the rap community dividing in recent times. Rap sentences such as: "Rap is like the Cricket Butter Kicker" or "Vietnamese Rap Champion without knowing the punchline", are said to be straightforward diss, causing social networks to explode with comments.
At the end of the song, YC also installed a skit "diss" Bui Cong Nam (Lil Nui) â before being "turned off by Rhymastic", creating a laughing and exciting effect for listeners. If "Then Sao" is considered a cautious debut, "Never Cheer Ly" shows a YC full of energy, prickly and ready to confront. This "revival" of Rhymastic made fans extremely excited, and at the same time opened a series of heated debates about his "OG quality".
