He graduated from the Department of Cheo, the Military Art and Culture College (now the Military Art and Culture University). After graduating, he became active in the arts as a cheo singer. But since 1986, he moved to work at the Hanoi Military Drama Theater.

In 1983, when he was a student at the Military College of Culture and Arts, Quang Teo participated in an exchange skit performance and was assigned the role of a man with a crooked arm named Teo. However, this character did not have a club, but only pretended to have clubfoot, distorted his mouth and took advantage of that disability to smuggle alcohol, avoid the police and bypass customs.

The role was too impressive, so from then on, his colleagues often called him Quang Teo. Listening forever to become familiar, this is also the name that makes him known to the audience nationwide. When the late NS Giang Coi had just graduated from the University of Theater and Cinema, he did not return to work at any unit but continued to study directing. From there, he met Quang Teo and made friends with each other, thereby becoming a chance for the best comedy group in the North to be born.

During his acting career, the image in the roles of artist Quang Teo is often associated with the rural, simple and blue-collar farmer. Later, he made a strong impression with humorous roles in big shows such as "Meet the Weekend", "Laughing Gala" and especially the image of Mr. Su - a proud farmer who likes to show off in comedy series. Late marriage, suffering because of infertility

NS Quang Teo got married at the age of 38 with a gentle and simple worker. Because the marriage was quite late, the busy work made the couple miserable because they did not have children. The couple saved and collected money to try to treat for 10 years in order to have a baby. Finally, after 13 years, the male artist received the good news when his wife gave birth to twins, a boy and a girl.

It is known that his wife also gave birth not easily when the child was born prematurely, had to stay in an incubator, the boy weighed only 1.9kg, the girl was 2.1kg, but fortunately both were healthy. The two children were named by their parents Le Minh and Phuong Linh. Knowing his twin wife struggled, he once advised his wife to quit her job to stay at home to take care of the children. He said that even though he had to bear the burden and steer the economy of a train, it was his wife's sacrifice that made him cherish it as a treasure.

NS Quang Teo said that about raising children, because he is often busy with work, his wife often takes care of this part. He confided: "Many nights when my father came home, I slept, I didn't wake up, I went to school, I didn't see me for a whole week. Normally, I have to go to school, I have to go to a show in the evening. That's why, Many days I don't have to go to the filming, my children can go home for lunch or at night, I don't have to go to the theater, the whole family can sit together. However, I still have to go to school to study, so I don't have time for them!"

Rich is not inferior to "comedy king" Xuan Hinh

Quang Teo specializes in playing the roles of poor people, farmers or hard-working farmers, but in real life he is the richest artist in the Northern theater village. Thanks to running shows throughout the northern provinces, his source of income is not inferior to comedians such as Xuan Hinh, Xuan Bac, Tu Long, Cong Ly, and Van Dung. Accordingly, he has a tall house with wide doors and a beautiful car with billions of dollars.
