On the morning of December 7, the artist world was shocked to hear that Nguyen Chi Tam - the winner of the 2019 Talented Garden Show - suddenly died in a traffic accident while performing in Tay Ninh, enjoying the age of 44. .

Nguyen Chi Tam was born in 1979 in Duc Hoa, Long An. He made an impression when in 2019 he participated in the garden amateur competition (conducted by Dong Thap Radio and Television Station), surpassing thousands of contestants to win the championship.

The judges in the contest all expressed their "fascination" with Chi Tam's voice, because according to Kim Tu Long: "His voice is similar to Minh Canh's voice".

It can be said that in the competition seasons of the gardener, Chi Tam is considered a prominent vocalist, not technical, very clear in the garden and according to many people, "listening to music has ears".

Not only conquering listeners with his voice, Chi Tam is also interested because he has a very difficult situation.

Chi Tam comes from a poor family but loves to sing. Growing up, because his business failed, he got into debt and his marriage broke up. He had to drift off to work as a hired worker and eventually got an owner who loved to make ducks for him and his wife to watch. He also worked as a bricklayer and many other jobs to earn a living.

Seeing that he sang well, his neighbors signed him up to participate in the Garden of Talents. On the day of the exam, he and his wife borrowed 500,000 VND to have money to fuel up to drive a motorbike from Long An to Dong Thap to take the exam.

As soon as he won the champion in 2019, a series of newspapers reported "The duck-keeper won the champion of the gardener of the garden". After that, because the whole country was caught in the epidemic, Chi Tam did not have many shows. His wife has heart disease, he himself is in poor health and the child is still young. Therefore, Chi Tam tries to find a place to sing to earn money for her family.

On the evening of December 6, after singing in Tay Ninh, Chi Tam drove home. His wife said that he called to tell him to stop by to fill up gas and then go home, unfortunately, he drove out and met a traffic accident and died in Tay Ninh.

The information was confirmed by artist Ngoc Huyen with Thanh Nien. Ngoc Huyen said she received bad news from the wife of artist Nguyen Chi Tam. "Nguyen Chi Tam's wife called me at 4 a.m. (Vietnam time) but couldn't post the news because she was very busy. I had to ask my assistant in Vietnam to run down to Long An to take care of my family's funeral. Nguyen Chi Tam's family", she confided.

The female artist confided that she was shocked when she received bad news from the wife of the winner of the garden Tai Tu. Ngoc Huyen said, before losing both of them texting each other, Chi Tam expressed her wish to be accepted as a disciple.

"Actually, I intend to return to Vietnam, I will accept Chi Tam. I promise to meet you this December, because December 25th is the final night of the third season of "Tails in the Garden". I will have a party to accept you as a disciple. People have a belief and hope that after winning the award, after two years of the epidemic season, there have been many changes," Ngoc Huyen said emotionally.

Mr. Nguyen Chi Tam's funeral was held at Tan Quy Thuong hamlet, Tan Phu commune, Duc Hoa, Long An. The funeral ceremony at 11am on December 9, then he was buried at Rung Ong cemetery (Duc Hoa, Long An).

Hearing the news of Chi Tam's sudden death, officers and employees of Dong Thap Radio and Television Station also organized a donation to support his wife and children.
