Phuong Le received a fine for the National Anthem lyrics modification, but still claimed that she was the victim.

After changing the lyrics of the National Anthem, Miss Phuong Le was officially punished by the Department of Information and Communications. At the meeting with the authorities, she still affirmed that she was provoked by anti-fans, which caused her to commit the mistake.

Yesterday (August 27), the Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City coordinated with the Department of Internal Political Security (PA03) of Ho Chi Minh City Police, the Department of Culture and Sports of the city to invite Ms. Le Thi Hau Phuong (Miss Phuong Le) to work on information provision activities on social network accounts.

During the meeting, the authorities reviewed the factors of purpose, motive, content, awareness of the violation and attitude of Le Thi Hau Phuong and unanimously decided to administratively sanction her for the act of distorting the work, causing harm to the honor and reputation of the author as prescribed in Clause 2, Article 10 of Decree 131/2013/ND-CP dated October 16, 2013 of the Government regulating administrative sanctions for violations of copyright and related rights.

According to the law, the administrative fine for Phuong Le is 5-10 million VND. In addition, the Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City also fined her for providing and sharing information that is not in accordance with the national traditions and customs as prescribed in Point b, Clause 1, Article 101 of Decree No. 15/2020/ND-CP dated February 3, 2020 of the Government stipulating administrative sanctions in the fields of post, telecommunications, radio frequencies, information technology and electronic transactions.

For this violation, the law stipulates that the fine for Mrs. Grand International 2017 is between 10 and 20 million VND. Thus, the total fine for her in the above incident is between 15 and 30 million VND. The Department of Information and Communications also noted that if Phuong Le re-offends or continues to commit administrative violations, it will coordinate with the Ho Chi Minh City police and relevant agencies to consider handling aggravating circumstances according to regulations.

Previously, on August 14, Phuong Le organized a livestream on social media accounts and had the behavior of remixing the National Anthem in a joking tone, causing outrage. At the meeting with the authorities, she explained that she was often attacked by anti-fans, so she acted impulsively at the time of the livestream, without thinking or planning in advance.

Realizing that her actions were inappropriate, Phuong Le removed the video and posted an apology on August 16. "I apologize to everyone for causing this discomfort and will learn from my experience to not use words that cause misunderstandings in the future," she said.

After that, some people thought that it was Phuong Le's scandal that caused Vu Luan to lose his position as a judge in the Golden Bell of Traditional Music 2024. However, according to Mr. Minh Hai - Head of the Arts Department of Ho Chi Minh City Television, when he understood the situation, Vu Luan agreed with the organizing committee to withdraw from the position of judge in the selection round of the competition.

As for Phuong Le, she felt guilty and apologized to her fiancé for unintentionally affecting him. However, the male artist encouraged her and was always there to support her during this period. The beauty queen also affirmed that both of them were still happy, with no damage to their relationship.
