The representative of the Ministry answered questions related to the awarding of the 10th People's Artist (People's Artist) and Meritorious Artist titles, including the case of O Sen Ngoc Mai.

In response to the question: "Public opinion spread information that Ngoc Mai and Quoc Nghiep came together when they were not divorced from their first spouse. Will this affect the consideration of conferring the title of Meritorious Artist for this female artist? or not?", Ms. Nghiem Thi Thanh Nguyet - Deputy Director of the Department of Organization and Personnel said that the profile of artist Le Nhu Ngoc Mai was submitted by the HCMC government.

"Professional and People's Artists Approval documents are submitted in three levels, including artist Ngoc Mai's profile submitted by the HCM City Council. Up to this moment, the dossier has been submitted to the Central Emulation and Commendation Board. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism is the permanent state agency in charge of this matter. However, we did not receive any official information. any," said Ms. Nghiem Thi Thanh Nguyet.

She added: "When we reviewed the information for the last time before submitting it to the Prime Minister, we did not receive such information. The above information is not official information that the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism received. Therefore, there are not enough grounds to review the application for awarding the title of Meritorious Artist to artist Le Nhu Ngoc Mai".

Ms. Nguyet added that currently, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has also completed the dossier to submit to the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Central Emulation and Commendation Board in accordance with regulations to consider and award the title of People's Artist to 136 artists and Meritorious Artist to 347 artists. .

In February, a series of photos believed to be Ngoc Mai holding a wedding with a man who is not Quoc Nghiep were circulating on social networks. The online community also found an article posted on December 9, 2013 by a person who is said to be a relative or friend of Ngoc Mai. This person posted a photo of Ngoc Mai taken with a strange man. That sparked the news that O Sen held a wedding ceremony before meeting Quoc Nghiep.

As one of the guests appearing in the wedding photo series, People's Artist Ta Minh Tam confirmed that he had attended Ngoc Mai's wedding. He said the wedding ceremony took place about 10 years ago at a restaurant. At the same time, the social network spread the image of Quoc Nghiep with his ex-wife and children.

Meanwhile, sharing on television many years ago, Ngoc Mai and Quoc Nghiep both revealed that they knew each other and fell in love with each other thanks to a group trip in a cultural exchange show in France in 2011.
