The person said the Iranian-born actor wanted to get a bigger payment than what was agreed with Britney in exchange for silence. "He threatened to release extremely embarrassing information about Britney unless he was paid," the source said.

However, another source close to Britney told Dailymail: "The allegations are absolutely ridiculous. Her lawyer, a former federal prosecutor, would never let anyone blackmail Britney Spears."

Britney and Sam Asghari signed a prenuptial contract in 2021 after getting engaged. The contract, drafted by Britney's personal lawyer, is said to be very tight to protect the singer's $ 60 million fortune. At the time, Sam — who was worth about a million dollars — publicly supported Britney to draft the contract. According to sources, the 29-year-old actor has moved out of Britney's mansion and is living in a place owned by him.

"It's only a matter of time before Sam files for divorce," the source told TMZ.

Representatives for the pop star and Sam Asghari currently declined to comment on the breakup news. The two also did not speak out on their personal Instagram.
