In his artistic journey, Viet Hoan was fortunate to be deeply influenced by two talented artists: People's Artist Thanh Hoa and People's Artist Le Dung. People's Artist Thanh Hoa, whom Viet Hoan considers a musical monument, has inspired him since he was a child. Viet Hoan once shared about memorable memories of watching People's Artist Thanh Hoa's performances, even having to "squeeze through the gap in the bathroom" to hear her sing when she had no money to buy tickets.

People's Artist Le Dung, Viet Hoan's direct teacher at the Hanoi Conservatory of Music, played an important role in shaping his career. Not only did he waive tuition, People's Artist Le Dung also supported Viet Hoan financially and created conditions for him to have opportunities to perform at tea rooms. This support helped Viet Hoan overcome initial difficulties when pursuing a professional music path.

Thanks to the guidance of talented teachers, along with his own unremitting efforts, Viet Hoan has achieved many successes. He won the National Solo Gold Medal in 1998, the Silver Cup at the International Music Festival in Pyongyang in 2004, and was awarded the title of Meritorious Artist in 2006.

Dubbed "Truong Chi" of the Vietnamese red music industry, Viet Hoan along with Dang Duong and Trong Tan have created a famous trio, captivating audiences for decades. Sharing about the beautiful friendship with Dang Duong and Trong Tan, Viet Hoan once proudly said: "We came together not as a music group but by chance when teacher Quang Tho let all three go to a singing competition and won the Gold award. . Currently, after many years of dedication to art, Meritorious Artist Viet Hoan has chosen a peaceful life on a farm on the outskirts of Hanoi.

He shared that he wanted to pause his artistic career at the age of 60. Viet Hoan shares about his current life: "A day on my farm is mainly eating, exercising, gardening, going to bed and dreaming about travel." Although there are no more shows like young singers, Viet Hoan is still satisfied with his current life.

Viet Hoan lives in a 2,000 square meter garden house in Quoc Oai, about 30km from the center of Hanoi. 5km away, he also owns a farm on the hill with an area of more than ten thousand square meters.
