People's Artist Thanh Dien is at risk of having shrunken legs and unsteady walking, the doctor said one thing

One month after the health incident, People's Artist Thanh Dien has gradually regained his health and spirit and is currently in the recovery phase. However, the male artist said that his limbs are showing signs of atrophy, he cannot walk or sit steadily, and must learn to walk again.

In July, People's Artist Thanh Dien made many people worried when he shared his worrying health situation. The male artist said he had abdominal pain, high blood pressure, high blood sugar, and a rapid heartbeat. However, he did not share specifically what illness he was suffering from. Before the surgery, the late artist Thanh Kim Hue's husband was hospitalized 3 times before discovering his illness.

Up to now, artist Thanh Dien's health has gradually recovered, but he is still quite weak. A few days ago, the male artist said that there were times when he "could not sit or walk steadily", needing someone to support him. He also noticed that his limbs gradually atrophied if he did not exercise. Therefore, in recent days, People's Artist Thanh Dien has been trying to practice walking.

"After a month in the hospital, my legs and arms were frozen, making it difficult to walk, so I had to exercise. If I didn't exercise, just lying in one place and not moving, I don't know what the consequences would be. When I was in the hospital, the doctor said: When you go home, try to exercise, don't be lazy.

After practicing for a few days, my legs developed and were no longer stiff. Lying down all the time, especially if you have diabetes and don't move, can cause muscle atrophy. In fact, I found that my legs seemed to have atrophied after lying down in the hospital for a month. So I tried to practice, I rode a stationary bike, walked back and forth, stood up and down, but I didn't dare stand alone, I had to hold on. But I saw progress."

He is determined to practice to return to the stage: "I have to try to practice to sing and perform. If I am lazy, my health will decline, my career will stop here. The thing artists fear most is not being able to work in the arts. If that happens, I will be guilty to myself, guilty to my profession and my fans. Therefore, I have to try to practice."

Although he can walk lightly, he thinks it is not leisurely. The male artist said: "When I can walk normally, I will return to the stage. Right now, I cannot appear in front of the audience. Even if you love me, it is difficult to accept the image of an artist who cannot stand firmly and lacks confidence."

People's Artist Thanh Dien's voice still has moments of loss of breath. He admits that his singing voice has declined. "Being an artist is very difficult, famous singers have special voices. I have a deep voice but now I can't sing well. Just kidding because the audience knows me, accepts me for my performance, not because of my voice," the male artist shared.

People's Artist Thanh Dien, born in 1945, is a famous cai luong artist, film actor, and stage director, and was awarded the title of Meritorious Artist (NSUT) and People's Artist (NSND). In addition, he is also known as the husband of famous cai luong artist Thanh Kim Hue. The two got married in 1975 and lived happily until 2021 when Thanh Kim Hue passed away due to a serious illness.

After the late artist Thanh Kim Hue passed away, People's Artist Thanh Dien chose a simple, private life. The male artist created a YouTube channel, named Thanh Dien - Thanh Kim Hue, to preserve his wife's moments.

People's Artist Thanh Dien once confided that he felt lost and heartbroken after losing her. "After more than 50 years of love and marriage, Hue became a figure beside me day and night. Everything has become a part of my life and now haunts my mind. I have struggled with the feeling of loss for a long time. The days at home, looking at each of my wife's favorite things, I feel like she is still around somewhere.
