Nguyen Thao was born in 1980 in Da Lat city (Lam Dong), is a singer with a closed life in the Vietnamese music industry. In 2003, after gathering a small amount of money, Thao timidly went to Saigon. The only goal was to learn to sing. While studying, she ran shows like crazy, from cafes to weddings, then gradually upgraded to tea rooms and recorded on demand.

In 2006, she released the album Stream and Grass, which was highly appreciated by experts and fans. That same year, she became a phenomenon in the show Vietnamese Songs with a Dream named after her. The song quickly reached the top best songs of the year, an event that contributed to promoting the name of this Da Lat singer to become more famous. The same year, Nguyen Thao continued to collaborate with musicians Duong Thu and Anh Quan to release their first album titled Suoi & Co.

During her career, she used to sing Trinh Cong Son and Pham Duy's music and was favored by many musicians to perform difficult songs such as: Nep day, Thu dry (Giang Son), Other skies, Time for love (Do Bao)... In 2008 and 2009 consecutively, Nguyen Thao released two singles "Roi Le Ru Nguoi" and "Glass Dream" which received enthusiastic support from the audience.

In recent years, she has been quite picky about choosing shows, singing little and only appearing in shows she really loves. During the past year, Da Lat's vocalist has hardly performed anywhere, nor attended large or small events in the entertainment industry. Currently, the female singer is busy being a wife and mother. She lives with her husband and children on the outskirts of Ho Chi Minh City. Nguyen Thao's husband always urged her to sing again because he knew his wife always loved her profession, but the female singer still hesitated because she wanted to spend all her time with her family.

After nearly 10 years of absence, in 2019, Nguyen Thao agreed and reunited with the band Anh Em as a guest in a large live show project and then disappeared like before. Unexpectedly, by the end of 2021, fans were surprised to see female singer Nguyen Thao appear again in the MV of male rapper Den Vau. This time, she agreed to join hands with rapper Den Vau in the MV Bring Money to Mom, released on Youtube. Den Vau himself shared in the newspaper that he had to convince Nguyen Thao a lot to be able to record this music project together because she stopped music quite early. After just a few 24 hours of posting, the song had 390 thousand views, skyrocketing to YouTube's top 1 trending chart.

Along with the rap lyrics that are close, honest and very absorbing, the music is both chill (relaxing) and gently but deeply conveys the story of "civic education" (as many funny comments under the song), MV Mang The money for Den Vau's mother also impressed the listener when Nguyen Thao raised her voice, loud and bright: "The children will go far from home/ There will be many journeys in life/ Even though life is sometimes not good. as expected/ Leaving home, no one will pamper you/ The children will have to go far from home/ Will have to taste a lot of salty, sweet, sour, and bitter/ Mom just wants 'you guys to take care of yourselves, come here.
