Van Hanh Mall is experiencing an unprecedented "silence" due to a series of unexpected incidents. To overcome this situation, the center has increased many safety measures to help people feel secure in their experience.
On the morning of April 29, Ngoc Trinh attracted attention when she re-shared Van Hanh Mall's latest post on her personal page. Without saying much, the beauty from Tra Vinh only left 3 heart icons, expressing her support for this shopping center.
In the comments section, netizens shared the same opinion as Ngoc Trinh. Many people said they would continue to support Van Hanh Mall regardless of the recent unwanted incidents. Some also commented that the way the mall set up the net looked very artistic.
Not only Ngoc Trinh, many brands operating at Van Hanh Mall also made surprising related moves. Accordingly, the official page of Swensen's Vietnam reposted the center's third letter with the following sharing:
"No matter what happens, Swensen's will always be here, always accompanying Van Hanh Mall and our dear customers. When challenges come, we are not alone. Difficulties will pass, let's spread love and positive things together."
On April 12, after the second unfortunate incident occurred, Swensen's also expressed its opinion, calling on the community to stay strong and spread positive energy, so that "every day that passes is a lighter day".
Similarly, on its homepage, The Pizza Company Vietnam - a culinary brand on the 6th floor of Van Hanh Mall - quickly sent out a positive message: "No matter what happens, we always believe that bright things will come in the next journey of all of us."
Previously, The Pizza Company sent an emotional message to the management and guests, affirming: "We and Van Hanh Mall with a dedicated, friendly staff, are always ready to share, welcome and accompany our beloved guests."
On the 5th floor, the handmade ice cream brand Snowee Gelato also expressed its support with optimism: "Snowee believes that listening, understanding and sincerity are always the guiding principles in the development journey". Snowee also committed to continuing to improve service quality and hopes that Van Hanh Mall will continue to be a destination that brings "joy and relaxation after the hustle and bustle of life".
Meanwhile, Iglo Bingsu - a Korean dessert brand - sent its deep thanks to Van Hanh Mall: "Iglo Bingsu is proud to always stand side by side with Van Hanh Mall to spread the spirit of dedicated service and bring the best experience to every customer".
Faced with the love, trust and support from the community, Van Hanh Mall responded emotionally: "We have read all the sharing and encouragement from all customers, brands and labels. Van Hanh Mall would like to send our deepest thanks."
The mall representative said that the netting is an emergency and temporary solution. In the coming time, the Van Hanh Mall team will continue to implement additional solutions to improve the aesthetics, ensuring that the mall is increasingly safe and vibrant.
In fact, the net solution has been applied in many buildings and commercial centers around the world to prevent serious accidents. In India, at the end of February, a man who fell from the 7th floor of the Maharashtra state government headquarters was saved thanks to a safety net installed on the 1st floor.
Since 2018, after a series of negative incidents, this building has deployed safety nets. That same year, within a month, two similar incidents occurred. Two lucky cases survived when they intended to end their lives here.
In Australia, there have been calls for mandatory safety nets to be installed in shopping centres from 2022 following a number of serious accidents. In October of the same year, a woman died in front of many shoppers at the Westfield shopping centre in western Sydney. A similar incident occurred there in 2019.
According to experts, preventing negative behavior in public places needs to be done synchronously with many measures, from installing signs calling for help, monitoring and early detection systems, to designing reasonable open spaces.
