Surely many Vietnamese music-loving audiences still have the melody "Dragonfly chili, hot summer noon, start biting the belly button to practice swimming" or like the song "My grandmother took me to the beginning of the village, alone she wore it. it's all sunny." Those are the songs that have become a symbol of a popular development stage of Vietnamese contemporary folk music. And one of the typical names representing this unique and distinctive music is female singer Ngoc Khue.
Childhood with father realizes dreams
Born in 1985, the daughter of musician and painter Pham Ngoc Khoi, Ngoc Khue is the only one of the three sisters following her father's career, 7 years old has "feet" in the lineup of the Children's Palace of Music. Hanoi. Ngoc Khue has conquered music-loving listeners with her unique fake voice and skillful way of releasing words. When the audience began to get bored with the dull singing ways of the market singers, a Ngoc Khue appeared, representing a new generation of singers in Hanoi.
For Ngoc Khue, her parents are a great spiritual support, she once confided: "When Khue encounters unhappy things in life, her parents are the first to contribute ideas and shares to make her feel better. feel relief from the emotions..."
Khue said: "At that time, there was a soldier who fell in love with a teacher who taught Literature... The house was right across from each other and the result of love was 3 daughters born. The two sisters soon followed the profession. mother's pedagogy, and the youngest daughter showed a talent for singing, so she soon learned each finger from her father...".
Ngoc Khue's childhood was quite peaceful. House in Gia Lam - which, according to her, that day, on the other side of the river and on this side of the river was completely different. On one side of the river is the city, and on the other side is the countryside.
Therefore, Khue told me to grow up with everything that a country child goes through. Another thing is that 3 times a week, her father takes his youngest daughter from home to Hanoi Children's Palace to study music, on a bicycle.
At that time, the Khue family was not well off. Khue's father is a musician, but he studied guitar, not piano. Although the youngest daughter Ngoc Khue loves to learn to play the piano, her parents cannot afford to buy her a piano or organ.
Musician Ngoc Khoi bought his son a small Chinese organ and let him discover it for himself. So, little Khue is interested in learning the piano by herself.
She borrowed the music books of the teachers at the Children's Palace to come home to learn, from which finger is the Do note, which one is the D note, ... gradually, the first piece of music that Ngoc Khue plays to perfection is anthem.
In the 6th grade, Khue entered the Vocal Department, the elementary level of the Hanoi College of Arts and spent 11 years training here until she graduated from the College. Dad was still the one to pick up his good daughter until she was in her final year of high school, able to ride a bicycle to school by herself.
Thi Mau Ngoc Khue shared: "When I took the exam to high school, my father set a goal for Khue: If you can enter the chosen class, I will buy you an organ. That year, I achieved the goal that I wanted. Father proposed and until now, that organ is still carefully kept by his parents as a precious souvenir.
At that time, Khue's family was very difficult, so in order to buy an organ for her child, her parents had to save money for a very long time. In response to those sacrifices of my parents, I can only try to study well.
Just like that, along with Khue's steady steps, there is always the enthusiastic support of her parents. The couple, musician and painter Pham Ngoc Khoi, did not miss any of their daughter's performances.
When Khue took the 2004 Sao Mai exam at the meeting place in Tuan Chau, her grandparents also packed up and rented a motel right next to her hotel and stayed there for a whole month, until the program ended.
That year, Khue won the second prize of the contest and the nickname that the audience fondly called Ngoc Khue was the song she performed in the final night: Chilli Dragonfly.
Until now, when she has children, Khue finds that her parents' parenting method is both emotional and close, and Khue also uses that method to teach her children.
Happy married life
In 2006, singer Ngoc Khue decided to board a flower car with the groom Le Trung Anh, working at the National Airlines and the only child in a family of civil servants in Hanoi.
With the great fulcrum of her parents-in-law in taking care of her lovely son at home, Tony, Ngoc Khue completed her university studies and is currently continuing to complete her Master's program in Thanh Hoa. his music.
In addition, she still makes time for participating in performance programs and regularly completes her music projects.
For some artists, after the dazzling aura on stage, when they return home, they have to leave the aura outside the door to become normal people like everyone else. But not with Ngoc Khue.
She said: "Everyone in Khue's family loves art, especially her father-in-law sings very well. Khue often has karaoke "exchanges" with her brother-in-law, so the family atmosphere is very happy. Because of her parents-in-law. Khue has little habit of going out, doesn't like lively places, so she prefers to stay at home to watch her daughter-in-law sing on TV.They really like the bouquets of flowers the daughter-in-law brings home to put at home, enjoys a lot. Neighbors and friends are concerned about their daughter-in-law...".
Divorced but still keep a good relationship with her husband
However, a happy married life only lasted a few years, Ngoc Khue divorced her husband and became a single mother. It is not clear what the reason for the breakup is, but the singer took many years to regain balance in her life.
Although divorced for many years and also found new happiness, Ngoc Khue and her ex-husband still maintain a good relationship so that Tony can fully feel the love of both father and mother.
Ngoc Khue frankly said that the two still talk, call or text back and forth. Explaining this, she said: "We broke up in a gentle, civilized manner, without hatred or resentment at all, just respecting our own life, so we decided not to live together anymore. Each person has a life. live separately and be very comfortable with it." Ngoc Khue added that at the time of divorce, her son was only in grade 1. The singer chose not to lie, but to face the truth and confide in her child's understanding. She said: "Fortunately, my son is quite understanding, so that time is short. Because both me and my ex-husband still care, even going to coffee, watching movies even though we are not together anymore. Currently, we are not together anymore. My ex-husband also has two more children. The two families are also close together, so my son wants to stay with his father or mother whenever it is up to him."
