Artist Ngan Quynh's real name is Ho Hong Hanh. She was born in 1966 in Saigon but was originally from Vinh Long. Around the mid-1980s, Ngan Quynh sang in Saigon but her life was difficult, going on a bike ride with a salary of 60 dong. Very miserable, her mother signed a contract to bring her daughter to Hue to sing for a reformed group with a salary 10 times higher.

That trip changed the life of the reformed girl Ngan Quynh. Because Hue is the place where she will fall in love with the man of her life.

He is the leader of the singing troupe, soon orphaned by his parents. They had feelings for each other at first sight, but it was not until 2 months later that he dared to express his feelings because once she had a cold, he gave her a bottle of tickling oil with a small letter.

That love affair had to be stealthy for a year until Ngan Quynh's mother discovered the letter she wrote to her lover. Because she did not want to marry her daughter to a husband far away, that night, Ngan Quynh's mother canceled the contract, packed up her luggage and took her daughter to Quang Ngai to perform.

He went to Quang Ngai to find her, luckily at that time Ngan Quynh's mother returned to Saigon with a job, he immediately took her to hide in Hue. The two held a small wedding in the presence of brothers and sisters in the singing group without their parents. That year, Ngan Quynh was 22 years old.

Ngan Quynh's mother ran back to Hue to ask for her daughter, to jump into the Perfume River to commit suicide if Ngan Quynh did not return. The couple had to promise, "Mom just go back to Saigon first, I'll take Ngan Quynh back later", then she will return to Saigon.

Having lived together for 1 year, Ngan Quynh misses home, misses her mother and wants to visit. When she returned there, she was "locked up" by her family, not allowing her to return to Hue anymore.

Nearly 2 months when the wife returned to visit her mother, not returning was the most painful time for Ngan Quynh's husband. Every day, husband and wife eat the same plate of rice, brush their teeth with the same toothbrush, but now they are alone. Suffering, her husband decided to find her.

The two once again ran away. It was not until 10 years later, when Ngan Quynh was pregnant, that their love was accepted by her mother. Their marriage so far has gone a long way of 35 years with many ups and downs, but after all, a love that has never faded.

For a time, Ngan Quynh wanted to switch to another profession to spend time with her family, husband and children. She was afraid that if she kept singing, husband and wife would each lose their family happiness. So Ngan Quynh stopped singing cai luong and switched to singing.

In Hue, Ngan Quynh ran shows everywhere, went to Saigon, almost every night she ran 9,10 music venues, singing dozens of songs every night. To keep her voice, she had to sleep until 1 or 2 noon every day.

Not to mention, Ngan Quynh has a nervous breakdown. She knows how to ride a motorbike, but whenever she hears a loud horn or someone rushes from behind, she falls down...

After a few times like that, her husband did not dare to let Ngan Quynh drive the car by herself. Ngan Quynh told me to take a motorbike taxi to sing, but her husband was not reassured. He decided to step back, taking care of his children during the day, taking his children to school, and working as a driver in the evening to take his wife to sing as an assistant and manager for his wife.

That means her husband can't work, can't make money. So financially, Ngan Quynh is the mainstay in the house, but without her husband's thoughtful care and silent sacrifice behind her, perhaps Ngan Quynh could not run the show as much as she did. So.

For a man who used to be the leader of a reformed group and has a voice for many people, now having to step back from his wife's back is not easy.

So, with time, Ngan Quynh's husband also opened a tailor shop, but had to leave the sewing table to close the spider web because he didn't have time, stopped worrying about taking the children to school, and took his wife to sing. To the point, the customer ordered him to sew a shirt but could not do it forever, the customer said one sentence: "When people finish sewing, winter has just come and Mr. Chung has finished sewing, winter is over".

Then, about a year later, Ngan Quynh's husband returned to art, he was invited to work as a film producer. That 1 year, Ngan Quynh had to take care of everything in the family, the old things her husband still carried without a word of complaint.

At first, Ngan Quynh thought that she could do it all, but only 2 days without her husband, she was confused. That day, Ngan Quynh called a car to take her to the show. She couldn't cry forever, so she stood and cried. My brother-in-law accidentally saw it and called his brother. Her husband at that time was in the film crew, frantically calling his wife dozens of times.

Another time, Ngan Quynh went to film in Da Lat. Everyone has been so used to the image that she has her husband with her wherever she goes, so she was surprised to ask, "Where is Mr. Chung letting you go alone, that's bad."

Knowing the story, Ngan Quynh's husband ignored all advice and decided not to work in film production anymore but returned to support his wife as before.
