Nawat sets up the Tangmo Nida scene, revealin.g the bitter details, justice is served?

Mr. Nawat - President of Miss Grand International and 5 provincial Miss Grands of Thailand - joined the volunteer team to reconstruct the scene where the actress of "The Flying Leaf" - Tangmo Nida - fell into the river and died.

A press conference on the reconstruction of the scene where actress Tangmo Nida died after falling from a speedboat took place in Bangkok. The event was attended by many experts and volunteers.

Notably, among the 7 volunteers participating in the reconstruction of the scene, there was the appearance of Mr. Nawat - C" chairman of the Miss Grand International contest and 5 provincial Miss Grands of Thailand including Miss Grand Nakhon Phanom, Miss Grand Nakhon Sawan, Miss Grand Chiang Mai, Miss Grand Chumphon, Miss Grand Chachoengsao.

Seven volunteers performed the scene of falling into the river, under the supervision of swimming coach and Colonel, Dr. Thawatchai Kanchanarin - surgeon at Phra Mongkut Hospital.

Volunteers dressed as Tangmo Nida, dressed in the same clothes as the day of the incident, simulated the situation of defecating at the back of the boat and falling into the water. Previously, Mr. Nawat shared his grief and hoped that the authorities would find the truth about the incident of Tangmo Nida falling into the river and dying in 2022.

"I have met Tangmo's sister many times. She is cute and this is a picture taken in 2024. I hope she goes to the most wonderful place and is happy forever," Mr. Nawat shared about Tangmo Nida.

"Please allow me to express my personal opinion. I have followed the news, watched most of the news programs and interviewed 5 people about their reasons for their actions and their circumstances, and I do not believe what people are saying," the Miss Grand International president affirmed.

On the afternoon of January 20 at the Bangkok Administrative Center (Thailand), Mr. Somboon Muangklam - Advisor to the Minister of Justice, along with senior officials of the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) received the application from Mr. Panthep Puapongpan - Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Medicine, Rangsit University and Mr. Nawat Itsaragrisil - CEO of Miss Grand International.

The petition asked the DSI to review the case of Tangmo Nida, the actress of the film "The Fallen Leaf", who died after falling from a speedboat and to handle the case as a special case within 1 month.

Mr. Nawat said that the actress’s acciden.t had attracted great public attention, with many questions remaining unanswered. He stressed that there were many inconsistencies between the testimon.y and the available evidence, including the behavior of those involved and the condition of the victim’s body.

In particular, Mr. Panthep Puapongpan emphasized the importance of holding accountable those who spread false information. He also thanked the Miss Grand Thailand contestants for participating in the reenactment to prove that defecating at the stern of the boat is not feasible.

Although the case has been going on for more than two years and is still under trial, a representative of the Ministry of Justice affirmed that if new evidence emerges and the case continues to have a major impact on the public, the DSI can still review it according to the procedure. The star of The Fallen Leaf fell into the water and went missing in late February 2022 while on a river trip around 11pm with a group of friends. Nearly two days after the actress went missing, Tangmo Nida's body was found.

After nearly two months of investigation, along with two autopsies, the police concluded that the actress died of drownin.g. Her case was a normal acciden.t and ruled out the possibility that the actress was harmed.

Five friends who were on the yacht with Tangmo Nida were charged with manslaughter, falsifying statements, destroying evidence, driving without a license, and using an expired boat.
