Intentionally causing injury, depending on the degree, nature and consequences, will be subject to civil or criminal liability or appropriate administrative sanctions.

Article 134 of the 2015 Penal Code, amended and supplemented in 2017, stipulates that the crime of intentionally causing injury or harm to the health of others, depending on the nature and severity, imposes different penalties.

According to the law, basically, the act of intentionally causing injury will be criminally prosecuted according to Clause 1, Article 134 if the injury level is from 11% to 30%. However, when committing an act of injury that meets one of the conditions specified in Points a to k, Clause 1, Article 134, even if the injury level is less than 11%, criminal prosecution may still occur.

This behavior can be be sentenced to non-custodial reform for up to 03 years or receive a sentence of 06 months to 03 years.
