Mym Tran was born in a well-to-do family, was a warm boy in childhood when he was surrounded, pampered, fully materialized, and wanted something. However, there is one thing she most desires to have, but is forbidden by her family, which is to be a daughter.

Since childhood, Mym has recognized the difference in her. She walks, walks, talks very softly, at school, she likes to play with girls, when she comes home, she wants to play with dolls, watch plays and pretend to be a princess...

Her mother soon realized the difference as well. She tried everything to cover, not let her contact many people so as not to get hurt.

"I'm afraid that I will be disadvantaged, will be discriminated against by society. Moreover, that day, my parents have a big business, have a lot of relationships, I am afraid that people will say it out loud.

When I was a child, my mother sent me to an international school, every day someone took me away. Even during lunch break, instead of staying at school like my friends, I was also welcomed home to eat and then sleep to avoid contact with many people," she confided.

However, she still has her own complexes and sufferings. She feels guilty when all the girls around are beautiful, have long hair, wear skirts, and she has a spiked hair, every time her hair grows longer than 3 centimeters, her mother pulls her to cut it.

"Actually, I'm more lesbian than gay, people even talk about me when I go to a public men's bathroom. When I was in high school, I used to hide from my mother wearing wigs, makeup, and posting pictures online. Once a teacher The homeroom teacher saw it, invited my mother to talk, I was scolded too much by my mother, confiscated all my cameras and computers. Until now, my hands still have many scars, but at that time, besides hurting myself, I didn't know what to do," Mym Tran shared.

"Better to be lonely than to suffer because of love"

At the age of 22, Mym's life became easier when she was gradually understood by her mother. She is allowed by her mother to grow long hair, makeup, and dress like a girl, but what she wants is much bigger than that. She wants to transform into a full girl.

Unable to convince her mother, Mym took out a loan and went to Thailand to transgender herself.

"Actually, my chest part was done in Vietnam, at that time I had a close friend with me, but when I went to Thailand to have surgery on my lower body, I was alone. Up to now, I still have goosebumps. The feeling of walking into the cold operating room without a loved one waiting outside is scary.I didn't expect myself to be so strong.Perhaps, the grief in the past is my biggest motivation because What was the pain of the flesh compared to the dead and stuffy life at that time", Mym Tran confided.
