In his youth, Nghia was a boy from Hanoi, decided to go to the South alone, studying at the University. Here, he has new friends and a girl that Nghia likes at first sight - Thao Nguyen (Khanh Van). Accidentally, Nguyen was a young man with Tuan Anh (Tran Nghia) - the first valedictorian nerd that year was also Nghia's roommate. The fact that the two boys speak with a Hanoi accent in the middle of Saigon makes them become close without trying. The group of 3 friends admitted two more members, Minh Wisdom Thai (Minh Du) and Thai Wisdom (Nguyen Tu). Five people with different backgrounds, from different lands, went through exciting and brilliant summers together. There, there is not only friendship but also love and breakup.

The film has a duration of up to 2 hours, perhaps to fully convey the story of the two time contexts. However, the director seems to be a little "greedy" for the plot, inadvertently making the film have a slightly lengthy opening. Viewers have to wait a long time to see the main story of the film and it takes a lot of time to distinguish the characters in the current context. In addition, because it is not portrayed psychologically clearly, the role of Thao Nguyen, even though she is the key character of the conflict, cannot push the expensive scene to the climax, thereby not being able to convince the viewer.

Khanh Van - a rare pink shadow of the film is similar to Tran Nghia, she still takes on the role of a knack - a lovely young woman with very characteristic expressions and voices.

The cast of the "old potty" generation, although full of veteran names, is somewhat not as prominent as the "student" association. The reason is probably partly because of the script, when the characters are present, there are not many emotional scenes, and the knots in their relationship are also solved quite simply.

It is known that The Most Beautiful Summer is Vu Khac Tuan's debut film as a director after many years of editing and contributing to the success of many box office crazes. Perhaps because of that, The Most Beautiful Summer has reached quite high perfection in terms of images, backgrounds, film colors, and editing, but the script is still halfway and more or less regrettable.
