Since Miss Universe was bought by transgender billionaire Anne Jakrajutatip, people have seen a lot of "instability".
However, the biggest beauty contest on the planet has also been entangled in many scandals in the past. In 2001, the organizers slandered a contestant as... transgender.
Specifically, Miss France Ãlodie Gossuin was sent to compete in Miss Universe 2001 held in Puerto Rico. But as soon as she entered the contest, Ãlodie Gossuin was banned by the assistants of Mr. Donald Trump - then president of Miss Universe. They believe that Ãlodie Gossuin is transgender because her hands... are unusually large compared to other women.
Things became more serious when the French beauty was locked in a hotel room by BTC Miss Universe and was not allowed to participate in contest activities. Even the team confiscated her phone and forced her to go to a gynecologist. Immediately after learning the news, Miss France President Genevieve de Fontenay used a private plane to Puerto Rico and scolded the Miss Universe organizers. She said that no one can denigrate the beauty of French women.
After much tension, the organizers of Miss Universe allowed Ãlodie Gossuin to continue competing and she entered the Top 10 overall.
During the finale, Mr. Donald Trump did not apologize to Ãlodie Gossuin, but only congratulated and said that her sex scandal helped make the contest more famous. Of course, no one believes this ridiculous accusation of Miss Universe because after that, Ãlodie Gossuin was married and gave birth twice, and especially both times she gave birth to twins, one boy and one girl each time!
At the present time, the Miss France contest is still one of the events that have won the most attention in this country. The winner of Miss France is usually sent to attend either Miss World or Miss Universe. Sometimes Miss France will participate in both these competitions.
However, with the new copyright bidding policy launched by the Thai transgender billionaire - Anne Jakrajutatip, the audience is waiting for the response of the Miss France organizers.
Will this long-standing beauty contest give in to Anne's new rules or will she choose a new direction?
Recently, transgender billionaire Anne Jakrajutatip posted on her personal page the 2022 financial report of the global JKN group owned by her.
Ms. Anne wrote: "Finally, the annual financial report of JKN Group has been revealed. I am extremely happy to announce that in the past year, JKN's total revenue was 2.6 billion Thai Baht, profit. net worth of 583 million Thai Baht and total assets of 10.7 billion Thai Baht (about 324 million USD)".
Sharing her business secret, the billionaire said: "Never give up, everything is possible when you have faith in yourself. Turn pain into strength and always remember that being human is Live gratefully."
In 2022, Anne and JKN Group decided to spend more than 20 million USD to buy back Miss Universe pageants, including Miss USA and Miss Teen USA. This is considered a turning point in the business strategy of the Thai female billionaire.
Soon after, Mrs. Anne introduced many policies to recover capital and profit, starting with the strategy of asking countries to bid to win the right to send representatives to Miss Universe.
This strategy is said to quickly help the female billionaire recover the amount of $ 20 million, and at the same time make a profit. Particularly in Indonesia, the organization Puteri Indonesia agreed to pay 10 times as usual but still lost the copyright. Meanwhile, in Vietnam, the new copyright holder is said to have to spend a large amount of money to own a franchise license.
Not only is the money from the sale of royalties, Ms. Anne is said to have made a great profit in terms of image and promotion after being attached to the Miss Universe contest and always appearing with the beauty queens and runner-ups.
Although considered domineering, Mrs. Anne is considered a smart, talented and fierce woman in business.
Anne Jakrajutatip once went to Australia to study international relations at the age of 16. Most recently, she received an honorary doctorate in international management from Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi.
JKN Group, managed by Ms. Anne, is a pioneer in the field of importing Indian TV series. In addition, JKN is preparing to approach the Philippine TV series. In the news sector, JKN is the sole licensee of CNBC Asia in Thailand.
