Mai Tuan was born in 1967 in a family where no one was active in the arts. However, Mai Tuan is blessed with a sweet, emotional voice and endless passion for music.

Mai Tuan once recorded a song with a salary of 2 million VND, all expenses were taken care of by the producer. Filming MV for 10 million VND per song. He just needs to come sing, everything, including the costumes, are prepared and invested in by the record company.

At that time, the price of gold was about 400 to 500,000 VND per tael. Thus, for recording a song, Mai Tuan received 4 to 5 taels of gold. As for filming the MV, his salary is equivalent to more than 20 taels of gold for 1 song.

Mai Tuan was one of the Vietnamese artists who toured Europe in 1997 organized by manager Hoang Tuan (show manager of Dan Truong). This is one of the first performances by Vietnamese artists abroad, so it is a great pride for any artist to go.

The tour lasted 2 months and performed in dozens of countries. At the peak of his career, Mai Tuan suddenly withdrew from showbiz and went to teaching after Yen Khoa - a female singer who specializes in singing duets with him - settled in the US and started a solo career by becoming an exclusive singer. of Lang Van music center overseas.

However, at that time, Mai Tuan was rumored to be picky and set prices with music centers.

It took many years for the "Dust Rain" star to adapt to his new life. At first, at night when it was time for the show, Mai Tuan changed clothes and drove around the street. He missed his job so much that he didn't dare watch TV because seeing his colleagues acting made him feel sorry for himself and stressed. Later, focusing on teaching gradually made Mai Tuan find joy. He is more serious about his job as a math teacher and continuously achieves good results in his work.

In 2008, Mai Tuan decided to return to art. He sold diamonds and gold to make albums but was unsuccessful. However, the passion for singing still burns within him, so the "Dust Rain" star still quietly films music videos every day to post on social networks.

Recently, he also invested in filming 2 outdoor music videos and spent a lot of money. The male singer admitted that after more than 30 years of being involved in art, he feels more mature, quieter and no longer wants to compete.

He himself has long not cared about being famous, or being remembered by the public or not. He sings because of passion and produces products because of passion.

"I've been used to living in seclusion for so many years, to the point that when I go out on the street and someone recognizes me, nods, smiles and says hello, I still wonder who that person is, do I know him?
