From the time he turned to be a director and film producer to the present, Ly Hai's biggest project that resonated with him is the movie series Flip Face. In this 2023, the 6th part of the series called Flip Face 6: The Fateful Ticket has also been released. The work was premiered in the middle of the year and is considered a blockbuster in Vietnamese cinema, as it is gaining great attraction in all clusters across the country. Ly Hai and the crew are also receiving great news, when this project is topping the Vietnamese box office, the revenue has reached more than hundred billion, breaking many records of Vietnamese cinema previously set.

Specifically, according to statistics from the measurement system, director Ly Hai's film has earned more than 128 thousand pre-booked tickets, this number is four times higher than the previous record of Madame Nu's House. The movie was released on the occasion of Tran Thanh's Lunar New Year. With this achievement, Flip Face 6 also officially became the first Vietnamese movie with the highest number of pre-order tickets of all time.

Not stopping there, Flip Face 6 also had the highest revenue after 3 days of release in Vietnamese cinema history, with a figure of up to 80 billion dong. That's equivalent to an average of about 15.6 billion VND per day Flip Face 6. This number is an impressive number, far exceeding Tran Thanh's House of Nu. According to previous statistics, Tran Thanh only earned about 12 billion VND per day, at the time of the first days of its release.

With the above achievements, it is not too difficult to understand that Flip Face 6 has achieved a huge revenue, up to more than hundred billion only after the first week of release. Many viewers were also extremely happy for Ly Hai and his team when with the above figure, the producer certainly made a profit, not compensating for losses. However, the truth with the real money that the filmmakers earned from that hundred billion number will not be what people think. A lot of money is generated and forced to spend, leading to hundreds of billions of money will not be recovered much.

To be more specific about this, recently director Ly Hai, who is also the filmmaker of Flip Face 6, has expressed this story. Accordingly, the audience all had to "fall back", shocked at the fact that if the revenue reached 100 billion, the film would only earn 30 billion, a rather high figure.

Specifically, appearing and sharing in an exchange with an online audience, Ly Hai said: "The movie 100 billion is not as easy to eat and swallow as people think, not just putting money in will make a profit. First, if the movie has a revenue of 100 billion, the filmmaker will only receive about 40 billion. If this number happens in the first week of the film's release, the film will receive 50 billion. The reason is because in In the first week, it was split in half, and in the second week, the producer was only divided 40% and the theater group was 60%.

"And yet, you also have to subtract 10% of the publisher, minus personal or corporate income tax. So if you calculate everything in detail, then if the film reaches 100 billion in revenue, the filmmaker only still earned 30 billion, about that range. Depending on how long the movie is shown, 1 month or half a month, the producer actually doesn't have much left," added director Ly Hai.

With the sharing of Ly Hai, many people are not surprised, because if the revenue only reaches a few billion, the movie will definitely lose, when sharing with the theater cluster with a too high percentage. The production of a movie project also consumes a lot of costs, from which filmmakers are always afraid of losses, making up for money, significantly affecting finance.

Currently, Ly Hai's Flip Face 6 has reached a revenue of nearly 200 billion, an impressive number, but certainly the number will not stop.
